A colleague set her messenger status to count the paychecks left before her holiday, and Mike dewald could not let it go. The post he wrote about it is short, annoyed and the best thing on the blog, because it names the specific way people agree to wait out most of their own lives.
He does something similar with the failure rate everyone quotes at network marketers. Rather than denying the figure he goes looking at what it counts, which is a harder and more useful argument than either side usually attempts.
The marketing posts are ordinary by comparison, moving through search, affiliate work, social media and article writing in a competent instructional voice.
What keeps the blog alive is everything else. He edits an actor into a cowl to settle an argument, pulls quotes out of a superhero film about deciding for yourself what to become, and writes a straight farewell to a discontinued snack cake.
Read the paycheck post first. If it irritates you, it has probably done its job.
