The Right Time You Should Be Making A Decision

A lot of you folks were probably like me or at least can relate to me back then when I was just sitting on the fence before I made a decision to take control of a lot of things in my life. For months or even years, I was just beating around the bush on where I was really going in life.

Today I want to tell you a story about a friend of mine and how powerful it is to make a decision on something and never turning back. There are often times when I wish I made a decision earlier because Lord knows where I’d be if I did.

A Story Of How Making A Decision Right Now Can Alter The Course Of Your Future

As I said before, I sat on the fence for a long time before making a decision, looking at opportunity after opportunity waiting to see which one was the right one at the right time. But I discovered that there was no such thing as the right place and time. It’s all about being the right person. And I figured I’d NEVER become the right person until I just made the freakin’ decision to be and not look back.

Making A Decision Today Does Not Mean Cry Over Yesterday

So there was a point in your life where you made a bad decision too. In fact, we all probably made a bad decision multiple times in life. Just like my friend in the story, I too failed at a  lot of things and started businesses (as well as made investments) that went down the gutter. But those experiences were so valuable that when the right opportunity hit me – I was ready.

Versus if I hadn’t made a decision then I wouldn’t have gone through the hardships, the challenges, the fear, the pain, the loss but you know what? I’d still be in the same position I was, grinding it out living paycheck to paycheck, not wanting to get up in the morning just to get abused by customers and get used and manipulated by workmates who try to walk all over me just to try and look good for the boss.

There’s an old saying – I forgot who made it up, but it kind of goes like this. When the pain of not making a decision is greater than actually making the decision, then you are ready to make the decision. Or something like that.

But with so many opportunities out there, it’s hard to really pick one and roll with it. To be honest though, it doesn’t really matter too much. All that matters is how you learn and grow from it. Thankfully though, you ARE at the right place at the right time and that’s here and now.
