Finally After Six Long Years – Initial D Fifth Stage
I don’t know what it took them so bloody long to get to Initial D Fifth Stage. Last I remember, we saw God’s Hand in his Honda S2000 take on the Toyota AE86 of the main character and end Fourth Stage with that. At least that’s the most memorable thing I gather from when I saw it last. It was too long ago since I watched Fourth Stage let alone Initial D. Six years ago to be precise. I’ve been wondering what had happened to Project D since that time.
If you’ve been following the manga however, they are pretty far ahead. I don’t want to put any spoilers about Initial D Fifth Stage but I finally get to see some of the new cars featured in there that I’ve been waiting to see animated. It’s not like they could’ve left Project D as it was at the end of Fourth Stage anyway.
So When Does Initial D Fifth Stage Come Out?
According to this source they are going to run two episodes a month of Initial D Fifth Stage from November 2012. This is only if you’re in Japan and can afford Animax on Pay-per-view. So that means a lot of International fans may have to wait even longer for fully translated subbed versions.
Oh well, I’ll wait.
Some Initial D Fifth Stage Spoilers For Those Who Have Been Following The Manga…
I’m looking forward to seeing the new cars in Initial D Fifth Stage that were featured so far in the manga after where Fourth Stage left off. There’s the MR-S (MR2 Spider), the 350Z, Evo vII and perhaps we’ll see that NSX I’ve been waiting to see animated. In any case, I wonder if they’ll make Takumi go through the transition of driving that silly AE86 of his to finally start racing with his father’s Subaru.
In any case, let’s wait for some more news with anticipation. Now we know Initial D Fifth Stage is confirmed!
