I was watching a video the other day of John Lavenia, one of my friends here in Empower Network. He was outside, strolling around walking his dog while shooting a video.
I was instantly stumped, how he managed to hold the camera virtually still while number one, walking and number two holding his dog’s leash in the other hand.
My first thought was that he had someone with him and they were holding the camera…..then he made a slight gesture and I realized HE was holding the camera. Not only was he doing it in this video, but I watched a follow up video and he was doing the exact same thing!
WOW! He’s talented, right? But how the heck is able to shoot videos by himself?

I wasn’t the only one that was baffled by John Lavenia’s abilities to shoot videos while strolling around with his dog. In fact, the question came up last week on one of our Extreme Team Google Hangouts.
It’s a genius solution! He uses a handheld monopod, that comes with an adapter for your iPhone or Smartphone, to shoot videos while he is out strolling around with his dog!
