Expect A Miracle

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

There are many who are hoping for miracles. There are also many who get to experience miracles every day.

Miracles are more common than you may realize, especially if you allow them to happen or even more so, EXPECT them to happen.

I have a small card that I have posted in many places that says, “Expect A Miracle!”

The other day I was having “one of those days.” Things just were not going the way I was expecting them to go. But then, a miracle happened.

I was looking out the window and the sun was shining in. It was one of those moments where the timing allowed a small miracle. The air was cold and crisp and the sun lit up these diamond crystals in the sunbeam. At the same moment, two hawks circled in the air and then some deer, then a rabbit, and then a fox walked right in front of me.

Now for many, this may not seem like much but I took it as a sign for the day.

When I got to my chiropractic office, my first patient was a gentleman who was carried into the office and was on the verge of tears just the day before. Today he walked in with a smile on his face. It was a miracle!

Then a  few things happened which were not quite in my plans. While walking to the post office I saw a friend of mine. She is in a wheel chair as a result of a ski accident years ago. She has the most amazing attitude and smile that will turn anyone’s day around. She told me about a new foundation she is starting to bring robotics to this country which will help paralyzed people to walk.

Another miracle!

After that I went to a local salad bar for lunch. There I ran into a dear friend who I had not seen for years. I was just thinking of him while driving to work that day. As far as I was concerned, another miracle.

While I was driving home from the office, I was thinking that my day had not quite gone the way that I expected. I have to admit, there was some funk happening.

Just then my phone rang and a dear friend called to invite me to dinner. He told me how much he appreciated me and enjoyed the efforts I have been making. There is more to this but the point is that it was another miracle!

So while these incidents may not seem like a big deal, to me they were miracles!

I was open to, looking for, and expecting miracles.

So what miracles are you going to be open to, look for, or expect to happen in your life. I challenge you to make a concerted effort to bring miracles into your Life.

The key is to start with an attitude of gratitude. When you have this attitude, you will realize that miracles are going on all of the time. You may not have been open to them.

Speaking of a miracle, I will share a miracle that is unfolding in my Life. it is rekindling my dreams and getting me excited for the future.

The miracle I am talking about is The Empower Network. The timing of EN is incredible for me and also for a lot of people. It is about a mission by David Woods and David Sharpe to have a profound impact to make huge changes in people’s lives. It is happening now.
