Internet Marketing has great advantages by setting up a blog for your business. The blog is meant to bring value to your readers and not so much writing about your business. You need to ask yourself “How can I bring value to my readers?”
Let’s take automotive dealerships for example. Each dealership has a website but not very many have a blog. If a dealership could bring value to their potential customers by writing articles, do you think they might attract more customers just because one was to read a good content article? People go to websites to obtain the prices and typically go to a blog to gain some type of knowledge. Business Blogs are meant to give people value such as tips and how to’s.
It might be as simple as having articles on the “Top 10 things to maintain your car to keep it like new”, “What to do prior to taking your car on a road trip”. You could record a video with a person doing a walk around about the details on a car, or How to set up the GPS. You could also have an area on the blog with customer testimonials and your involvement with various Charities.
This also goes for those who have home business opportunities. This could be the best way to market yourself and give value to your readers. By giving value, you may attract customers and potential business partners. It is best to pass on your knowledge to your readers and earn their respect as a leader in the industry but also Tell people about your struggles and your pain. People relate to you when you are real. Your articles can reference topics about your products and company you promote but just remember it is not all about selling. I know if you have a home business, you might have heard the phrase “Don’t Throw Up on Your Prospects”. This also goes for your blog. Give people value and something they may learn from you.
You may reference how to get leads for your home business, how to set up a blog, how to drive traffic to your website or give them some free tools such as E-book.
I could sum this up in one word. Can you guess what that one word would be?
“Value”
Your true value is determined by how much you give, than how much you take. The funny thing is, the later will occur naturally if you give your business blog value.
