When you start any traditional success program, it typically starts with setting a goal. Who is the one to set this goal? You, of course, but who is the one thinking that the goal is impossible? Again, you. If you have read Think and Grow Rich and other success books, especially biographies of great achievers, then you’ve noticed that they all talk about mastermind groups and mentors who provided unconditional support in their development. These were people that believed in them before they did.
If you want proof, think back to your childhood. Maybe you have a memory of a teacher or parent who saw something greater in you, some hidden potential that you weren’t aware of. Sometimes it just takes a brief moment for someone to tell you “Wow, you are extremely smart!” Do you know that this little moment can change your life forever?
Now you might ask how the loving mirror relate to being successful. Trying to succeed without the support of others is like trying to scoop out the ocean with a spoon. The ocean of your potential is within you. Find the treasure within and start uncovering it. When you have someone in your life that sees the real you, you feel so empowered that you can achieve anything in your life.
As a parent, think twice before you say something negative to your child. Even when they make a mistake, address it in a positive manner. We are wrongly conditioned to think that mistakes are bad. Mistakes are the best learning tools. Set your child free to make mistakes and learn from them. Be your child’s loving mirror. This is will be the biggest blessing for a parent.
Focus on what is right with the people in your life. Do not focus on the negatives. Then you will start attracting the people who can support you in your journey to success.
