Blogging for money
It took me about 6 years from understanding, that I can make money with blogging and telling what’s going on in my life or whatever the heck I want to write about – with just changing one little thing. What that is, I’ll tell you by the end of this blog post.
The purpose of this blog post is to show you how to make money with a blog. I guarantee, that most people won’t stick with it long enough to make a full-time income, but even making an extra few hundred dollars a month isn’t too bad either.
The most common reasons people quit before they make money with their blog are:
- Lack of knowledge how to monetize their blog
- Don’t know what to blog about
- No vision
Blogging for money lifestyle
When people nowadays ask me what I do for a living I usually tell them either I’m blogging for money or I do Internet Marketing. Both are equally true, but I kinda feel stupid telling either version. Because most hours of my day I’m doing whatever I want. I don’t have to get up early to go to work a job I don’t like. These days I start my day waking up next to my wife in our new spacious home, petting the cats, then maybe a little bit reading (“Think and Grow Rich” at the moment), liking stuff on facebook and checking if my blog post from the previous day is already on the first page of google.
If you expect me to say something like, I’m jetting thousand miles to pick up friends to go skydiving and drinking pina coladas on our private beach then I have to disappoint you and tell you that I’m not doing that yet. Ask me in a year again.
But blogging for money sure gives you a lot more freedom. At least that’s the case for me and all the other bloggers I know.
The meat and potatoes for “Blogging for money”
Blogging for money is all good and stuff, but you also want to do it, because you want to do it. If you are in there for the quick money, you won’t last. Because first of all, you will need some time to let Google and the other search engines know that you are there. Indexing takes some time and so does ranking, unless you really know what you are doing.
If you don’t have access to an authority site and you need to build up your own websites pagerank, that will take focus away from your main goal, which is blogging for money.
There are many things to consider when setting up and maintaining your own blog. Of course you need content, drive traffic and successful methods of monetizing your blog when you want to do make money with your blog.
Blogging for money is a huge topic and can’t be described in just one blog post. Although I like to keep things short and (over)simplify things, there are just too many details and things to learn on blogging for money.

What to blog about when blogging for money

Here’s a tip, when blogging for money.
There are basically two different opinions on this topic.
One side is saying to blog about only specific topics. You need to find your niche and stick with it. Even the most badass internet marketer can write so much about generating leads. I personally find it hard to believe that this is their true and only passion. But hey… I could be wrong.
That brings us to the other side of the pie. You write basically about anything. Anything? Well… You should write about what you want to write… Unless you’re contracted to write about a certain topic. But even then you should have fun with it. Of course when you want to monetize your blog, there are some topics that will go along better with your offer you have to monetize your blog.
