How Significant is My Life?
The secret to do I make a difference is about living a life of purpose and most importantly knowing that every thing we do matters. When we live a life that is about do I make a difference we quickly realize the team is an essential component of our long term success and enjoyment. Team means Together Everyone Achieves More and this concept can only be obtained when the team is united, committed and bound together with an underlying and driving force to see our team member next to us succeed.
This commitment to each other develops a all round people that others want to associate and join together with on this journey called life. Your decisions move from being about you to being about others because through wisdom and sound judgement you have realized that your success is wrapped up in the success of others. I think it was Zig Ziggler who coined the phrase “Show a man how to get his dream he will move heaven and earth to help you.” When we grasp hold of this concept we will realize the answer to the question how successful is my life?
By default as you apply the principle of asking do I make a difference? with this next decision, task, opportunity or step you will quickly be recognized as a leader by your fellow team members. They are looking for someone who knows where they are going but at the same time are not only not threatened by the success of others they promote it as a fundamental belief. Our decisions reflect our belief system and when this belief system incorporates the success of others as a core belief the lives of others are impacted in a positive way.
This is not about perfection because we all fail, we all cause others to be hurt by our mistakes, this is about living life in an honest way full of integrity believing that others will benefit because they have come in contact with us. We have decided that we will take action and we will make a difference in other peoples lives. To be the instigator of an idea that will bring encouragement and self confidence in another person’s life is indeed one of the key values of a person who is significant.
Make A Difference As A True Leader
A true leader sees their actions not in light of this year, next year or even 10 years from now but they see it in terms of the generations to come. These will be the generations to come who are not yet born but whose very lives have been shaped and transformed because someone many years before decided that today they shall be significant and others shall benefit because they have purposed to be a person of integrity.
God has created each one of us as one of a kind models and there will never be another one quite like us, there has never been someone in the past and there will never be someone like us in the future. You are unique and the thoughts that you have are unique to you, your spirit is unique to you and the life that is set before you is unique to you. I wonder if you had considered the concept that you have been created to make a difference.
Make A Difference Is Not Only About Money
We as people often value things according to their monetary value be it gold or silver or dollars and cents but you must understand that your value cannot be measured in these terms but in terms of the difference you made in the life of another. You may never know the value of a word of encouragement spoken to someone when they needed it most or an uplifting word given when despair was swallowing the person up. Take a moment to look in the mirror and see the real you, do not look at the natural man or woman you see in the mirror look at the person of possibility and encouragement who is bursting to get out to demonstrate to all that they do make a difference and they are significant.
