Greetings – real life story to share!
Do You Trust Your Sixth Sense?
Two wonderful friends sent me a book recently and I would like to share a little of it and impart a practical application I observed. We mostly live our lives relying on our five physical senses and find it more comfortable to ignore our sixth sense… INTUITION.
Your Sixth Sense – The Nagging Voice
The writer of the book I am referring to, Judy Berg, describes this sense as “that little inner voice, the vibrational language of the universe.” Judy also asserts that the sixth sense may be more finely developed in people who are of the creative way of thinking. There are ways to quieten your mind so that you can LISTEN to that voice – a little more on that later!
Sixth Sense Story Shared At An Internet Marketing Conference Recently
Presenter David Wood shared a personal story on stage at an event in San Diego recently. Whilst it does not relate to his marketing success, the principles he applies to his personal and business life’ look to be very much in alignment.
David Wood has a background in many lowly thought of Marketing positions including vacuum cleaner sales. However, he is a clearly creative guy who uses his sixth sense about as well as anyone. I am sure Dave will forgive me if I get a couple of the details scrambled … I was not taking notes on what appears to have been one of the great intuitive moments of his life!
One day, on his way to one of these mandatory vacuum cleaner sales meetings somewhere in the state of Utah, Dave was running a little late but still stopped into grab a quick beverage somewhere. Seated was a gorgeous young lady chatting with her companion. Star-struck by her beauty, he almost made the mistake of assuming that her companion was in fact her significant other and turned to leave.
The sixth sense kicked in and he went back to tell her that she was the most beautiful girl in the world. As the universe dictated, she was available and agreed to a dinner later in the week. This lady not too much later became his wife Ashley and they have been happily married for 5 years.
The universe and intuition – David asserts that had he not paid attention at the time, the greatest of opportunity of his life would have disappeared inside a few minutes. He was running late, which was not typical, stopped in for a drink anyway and most definitely was not looking for his future wife on this quick trip to quench his thirst.
Having seen David in action, I believe that his sixth sense kicked in as he oozes self-discipline and intuition. (Hope he does not mind me saying “ooze” in reference to him.)
Here is an exercise that assists you in separating the chatter of the world from your small, inner, intuitive voice so it can be heard. Ask frequently, “Is this what I really want to think? What do I want to believe? Is this even true?Is this thought so strong it is preventing me from being open to opposing or different opinions?”
This takes practice to separate the sixth sense from the voice of your desire – when you practice, make sure you stop to pay attention and take action.
I enjoy intuitive people immensely so if you are the same, take a look at David Wood and this Internet Marketing Opportunity.
Until Next Time …
Lyn
