There are no specific rules when it comes to writing quality articles on a blog, but one thing you have to keep in mind is that blogging is a matter of refining your content and strategies to help you distinguish it from the thousands of other blogs available on your niche. Here are some tricks and tips to help you write articles that not only are rich in content but provide value to its readers.

1. Address Title Vs. Article address (URL) has to be exactly equal to the title. Create a friendly URL that allows you to include additional keywords from which you can use to generate traffic from the search engines.

Some platforms like this one (WordPress) allows you to define a custom address for your article also known as (Post Slug), while platforms like Blogger take the title of the article word for word.

2. Accentuate an important article. As a blogger, occasionally you sometimes will write an article that will greatly exceed other articles in your blog but are related to previous posted content on your blog, it is strongly recommended you always interlink your articles to related articles in your blog not only to get more traffic but also to further inform the reader. Is a good idea is to create a link in the bottom of your article or it can also be in the side area of your blog known as the widget section.

3. Make sure older articles get updated often. One interesting thing to do is to take a series of older articles that are related to one niche and consolidate them into a PDF so that your readers can download it and read it whenever they want if the information is valuable.

4. The importance of variety in length of your articles. Creating articles or blog post that vary in length, topics, format (lists, news, videos, interviews) can prolong the life of your readers. You don’t always want the same boring information in plain text. Combining your articles will make your readers come back instead of being bored by the same content every day.

5. Build relationship with other bloggers. Maintaining a relationship with other bloggers is key because it helps distribute what you have written through guest post and forums and it also adds value to your blog to a point where people will link to your articles naturally increasing your search engine rankings and visitors.
