No matter how much you think you know about article marketing, there’s always something that you are overlooking. Even if it’s a relatively small detail, this could be negatively affecting your traffic in a major way. Read this article, and make sure that you’re fully aware of every great tip and tactic out there.

If you’re interested in article marketing as a way to direct your marketing efforts to new customers, whenever you’re doing research on the internet be on the lookout for sites that might be a good resource for distribution of your articles. For example, city websites often include articles about the local economy, and might appreciate the chance to include an article about your company’s successes.

If your company provides products or services to other companies, your article marketing efforts can be combined with your customer relations efforts by including some of your customer’s “success” stories in your article. There is also the opportunity for your customer to reciprocate by including your company story in the articles that they distribute for publication.

Your resource box needs to include a reason for readers to want to click on your link and bring traffic to your site. If you are offering a freebie or have an e-book, be sure you mention it in your link. If there is more information on the same topic at your site, put a link to it in your resource box. Your goal is to get visitors to your site.

Use one of your articles to promote another article. As you are writing, include a link to one of your previous pieces in your current article. This is acceptable, particularly if, you are giving advice or other helpful information. Do not be afraid to praise your work!

Once you have found the right article directory for you, you must create an account with them in order to use their services. You might want to use an email account that is dedicated to the article directories, as you are likely to get regular mail from them. Many article directories are free, but some require you to pay a small fee.

A great tip when promoting your online articles is to make an offsite directory of your articles by using sites such as Squidoo or HubPages. People who may not know about your articles will see your articles on these particular directories, which will draw even more potential readers to you.

Collaborate with other websites to get your articles published in new places. Most webmasters will happily allow you to guest blog because they appreciate the content as well. They will link back to your site, increasing your popularity to search engines. Try to get your article posted on a well-known site to greatly increase traffic.

Did you see anything you may have forgotten or that you didn’t know about article marketing? Sure you did! Nobody knows it all, and those who insist they do are closer to failing than they realize. Use the tips provided here to keep your business on the straight and narrow. Over time, your business will expand greatly if it’s built on a solid foundation.
