WEALTH OR HEALTH

Welcome to  dear reader. Let’s today discuss life in its reality. But just before we get started, are you ready for this ? It might just  change your life or that of someone with whom you should share it with
It’s possibly similar to what you already know or entirely new knowledge to you in one way or the other, but my friend, this could be the beginning of a new mindset

What do you value most, wealth or health?
Would you go hungry all day to earn a dollar?
Would you spend the only coins in your pocket on a diet than invest it in business?
What about reporting at work late on a Monday morning after that long and tedious session of exercises?
What about that laptop you usually carry home to complete assignments and office reports, would you sleep and leave work at your desk for the sake of health?

Let’s have some of these answers written down before we can continue.

Am sure you’ve got dreams-big dreams that make you wake up at dawn and work till late; that good home, a lovely family, that Mercedes Benz you know…name them.

Great! It’s such a nice thing to have that big dream and work your way there because that’s surely the only way you can have your dreams come to pass. Walt Disney says, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Success is a choice and so is poverty; have a burning desire, believe, act and persist and sooner or later, you will be there. Wish you success.

Think about this once more. Wealth and health, what do you take more important than the other?

Suppose you woke up one morning with that 100biliion shillings on your account but with a painful limb and as you drive to the hospital in that Mercedes, the doctor confirms that you have cancer. Oh, what a sad moment!

Of what use is that 100billion when you need to take a trip to India for a Heart operation?

What about having that beautiful mansions but spend the rest of your life in the hospital with stroke and your family weeps with sadness all day?

You could possibly have heard about these people who were at the top of their game but lost it all. Let’s take some examples with due respect.

Zimwe a famous Ugandan investor died at the age of 63 and left a staggering 800billion shilling on his account.
Ex-president of Malawi, HE the late Bingu Wa Mutharika died at 78 due to cardiac arrest.

Ehuid Barack, Prime minister of Israel has been in comma for now 2 years.
Mubutu Sese Seko Nkungu Ngbendu Wa Za Banga, Ex-president of Zaire was ranked among the richest men in Africa but died at a tender age of 67 because of prostate cancer.
Imagine all pleasures, all happiness, and all the success!

Don’t you know some other people in your community who died to lifestyle diseases with a lot of money?

Am sure you should be attempting to change some of your answers. Please do it because what you are today is because what you did yesterday and your life tomorrow will be determined by the decision you are about to take.

OK! Let’s get to the point.

We can define health as the state of physical, mental and social wellbeing of an organism and not merely the absence of disease. Wealth is on the other hand is the accumulation of riches in abundance.

Life therefore revolves on these two and they depend on each other, though one is more vital.

Life is like a default lock. It opens and closes on a specific code of figures that irrespective of your background, race, color or education standard can open or close for you as long as you take the code in its order.

This code has shown to be related to 5 aspects which make the fundamentals of life. The order in which they follow matters, the base being the most important and the top most being the least important.

If your success is not anchored spiritually, you are more likely to meet a miserable end. Much as our destiny is death, I have been made to understand that if you believe in some powers, the way you talk, eat, walk and even the way you die becomes no ordinary one. So why not stop for a moment and you evaluate your spiritual stand

Personal growth is beyond physical growth and formal education. It combines what you ingest in your head; what you listen to, what you watch, read and the type of people you spend time with. Whatever enters your brain in one way or the other determines what comes out; the type of information you read, the movies you watch, the stories you listen to and the music you listen to.

By the way did you know that you are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with? (Jim Rohn)

List them down, their economical, social and physical state.
So mind the type of material you put into your head, mind your company!

Many people say, “No man is an island.” This perhaps proves the idea that you can never live happily alone. You need people around you; your family, friends, relatives and even those you think are strangers. Research has it that suicide is common with people who spend their time working in offices than those village farmers. This is possibly because farmers have enough time with neighbors and friends sharing their problems as compared to the office bearers who from the office move home and interact with a few people they can open up to.

So build your relationships stronger so that they can hold you from falling.

What about money, finances? Am sure you have theories or even experiences about how to invest, work and spend money. Just write for me a passage about that. Remember, “Profits are better than Wages.” If you ever dream about financial prosperity, then start thinking business.
Poor minds take long to decide and change their decisions very fast while rich minds act immediately they have an idea and take long to change it. Simply act now, I mean today.

Let’s get back to our main point; Health.

Health like life also stands on a number of blocks, the 3 core aspects of good health.

Exercise

What happens when your computer has been running all day long? It stops responding to some instructions till you refresh it or shut it down for a while.

Just like any other thing, our brains need to refresh and shut down for a while in order to have the best out of them. Imagine from the time you wake up at 6am till mid night, how many hours, minutes and seconds has the brain been working?

Your body needs to rest for6-8 hours every day. This will surely give your brain and other body parts enough time to refresh. You can then be sure of an enhanced memory, proper brain function and judgment and a good physical and psychological health all day.

It sounds familiar, right? Yes exercise.

Many of us have gotten used to the town setting where mechanization has taken over almost every core; laundry machines to wash clothes, moors to clear the compound, automobiles to carry you to and from church, work, town, the beach, even the would be obvious distances to walk are no more, of course with those self contained houses where a the next room handle the “call of nature.”

Imagine if you bought a brand new car and parked it in the garage for 20years. What would be of the car? …rust, dust, leakages name them.

Exercise is vital our wellbeing. It helps the body to burn excess fats; stabilize the body PH and movement of the lymph among others. If you can’t therefore exercise because you think you don’t have those excess fats to burn, why not do it for the sake of lymphatic system? At least the blood has a pumping device, the heart that helps it move all over the body, what about the lymph, it is dearly waiting for you to exercise. It can be indoors or outdoors depending on your wish.

Exercise is any vigorous activity that involves all body parts and can yield some sweat from the body. You need to do this for at least 30 minutes a day 3 times a week.

It becomes more interesting and enjoyable when you do it with someone else. Consider having it with your spouse, a friend or anybody else. For more information read the exercises manual by the same author.

Let’s focus on yet another important aspect. Why not take a breath and prepare your brain for this?

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and super?

Today, most of our tables are determined by our appetites; what our mouths want to eat and not what our bodies need. This is the cause of many disorders that we have.

The World Health Organization, WHO report 2012 on the most killer diseases clearly outline stroke, hypertension, cancer, diabetes and hormonal diseases among the 1st 10. These are

all related to your lifestyle. In 2010, another study which looked at the dietary habits of over1600nindividuals found that 90% of them consumed too many calories from fats, added sugars and alcohol. Also, nearly all of them failed to meet the recommendations for dark green and orange vegetables and whole grains.

A good diet is a balanced diet. A balanced diet is a diet that contains carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats and mineral salts. All these nutrients are very vital to the growth, development and maintenance of the body. They are summarized in the table below.

Macro nutrients
– Proteins
– Carbohydrates
– Fats
– fibre

These nutrients play different tasks that all together foster the processes of growth, reproduction, movement, respiration among others. Lack of any nutrient is as dangerous as excess of it. We
MUST therefore take them according to the necessary required amounts needed by our bodies.

The Unite States Department of Agriculture, USDA the leading edge scientific research centre on Agriculture, Nutrition and Health recommends that you and your family MUST eat according to the food pyramid below.

WHAT COUNTS AS A SERVING?

Bread, Cereal, Rice, and Pasta Group
(Grains Group)—whole grain and refined
• 1 slice of bread
• About 1 cup of ready-to-eat cereal
• 1/2 cup of cooked cereal, rice, or pasta
Vegetable Group
• 1 cup of raw leafy vegetables
• 1/2 cup of other vegetables—cooked or raw
• 3/4 cup of vegetable juice
Fruit Group
• 1 medium apple, banana, orange, pear
• 1/2 cup of chopped, cooked, or canned fruit
• 3/4 cup of fruit juice
Milk, Yogurt, and Cheese Group (Milk Group)
• 1 cup of milk or yogurt
• 1 1/2 ounces of natural cheese
• 2 ounces of processed cheese (such as American)

Meat, Poultry, Fish, Dry Beans, Eggs, and
Nuts Group (Meat and Beans Group)
• 2–3 ounces of cooked lean meat, poultry, or fish
• 1/2 cup of cooked dry beans
• 2 1/2-ounce soy burger or 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or 1/3 cup of nuts counts as 1 ounce of meat

WHOLE GRAINS.

These make up the base of the pyramid and the make the core foundation of nutrition. Examples of whole grain foods are maize, sorghum, wheat, rice etc. (most carbohydrate foods)

The major function of these foods is to provide energy to our bodies. They also contain lipids and sterols which are critical components of the cell membrane. Am sure these foods make about
80% of your dining table.

Lipids and sterols are found underneath the seed coat (testa). They give most of the grains the brownish yellow color and are natural oils that soften the cell membrane.

Think about this;
Have you ever felt tired and weak even after having a posho meal?
Have you seen any people dozing in church, taxis, and meetings or even in office?
Is it because they dint have any meals before or they never slept? Why?
By the way, if a weevil enters a maize seed which parts does it eat?
What about the poultry feeds, what are they made of? No wonder the chicken of 6 weeks can be slaughtered and eaten.

Our cells are made up of cells, trillions of cells for an adult which are the smallest units of life.
All activities take place inside the cells be it growth, reproduction, movement, respiration, excretion and many others. The cell must therefore feed, respire and excrete through the cell membrane.

This is only possible if the cell membrane is soft and permeable to allow nutrients and air in and wastes out. Unfortunately, the grains that we eat are already processed by the grinding meals which remove the lipids and sterols. This has made our cells more rigid (hard) and impermeable so that little of the food that we eat enters the cells and even some wastes remain inside the cell.

UNHEALTHY CELL

(Without lipids and sterols)

Nutrients can’t enter

Wastes can’t get out

What happens when the nutrients don’t enter the cell?
Chronic fatigue.(feeling tired and sleepy all time)
Nutrient deficiency which results in deficiency diseases e.g. goiter.
Poor organ/ body development
Hormonal imbalance
High blood sugar
Low immunity
General body weakness etc
What happens if the wastes don’t get out?
Wastes are poisonous. They damage the cell and contaminate cell contents which may at times result into cancers (Toxic build-up).

Remember the type of posho, rice, wheat or bread that you eat!

The Scientific Advisory Board SAB, the world’s leading edge scientists with the approval of the USDA, centre for Disease Control CDC, Harvard School of Public health among others have your solution; TRE-EN-EN, the worlds 1st and only whole grain food supplement that offers your cells the best lipids and sterols to make them soft and permeable to all nutrients and medicines.

Made from natural wheat germ, rice bran and soybeans supplements your diet with to the expectations of your body. Get your Tre-en-en in two affordable sizes; #120 capsules and #60 capsules.

For the best of your child’s health, build their foundation with a chewable multivitamin VITA-
SQUARES, (contains Tre-en-en grain concentrates) loaded with 18 vitamins and minerals for a life time health.

FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Vegetables are a source of vitamins and minerals. All vegetables in all colors (green, yellow, orange, purple, red etc are very necessary because they contain different nutrients required by our bodies. They are equally important; both bitter and sour ones, red, yellow, orange, purple, green, and red.

Below are some of the functions of vitamins and minerals obtained from fruits and vegetables.

They boost the immunity of the body against diseases especially carotenoids.
They help the body to recover from illness.
Enhance vision and eye health
Prevent cancer formation
Health, clean and smooth skin
Hormonal health, function and balance. Hormones control our response, mood, sexuality and many other activities
Management of digestive disorders
Iron is a major component of blood
Zinc is necessary for prostate health
Detoxification
Anti-oxidation (the process that leads to aging). Etc

How much of the fruits and vegetables do you need?

Many a time, people associate eating fruits to having a lot of money and taking a vegetable meal to poverty. The truth however is, whether expensive or chap, your body needs the very many fruit and vegetable types. You either take them or you will have challenge that result from deficiency.

The USDA suggests that you have 4-8 servings of different fruits and vegetables a day.

How many do you take? Which type any way? Do you take water melon and mangos because they are sweet? Do you take vegetables only when you don’t have money to buy meet?
The answers you get explain your physical, social and psychological well being today.
Does this change the fact that fruits and vegetables are costly?
Definitely not. They have to remain costly as long as productivity (supply) is lower than the demand. If your income can not increase with the increasing demand, then you have to adjust your budget. Why for example should you buy one apple at 1000 shillings from a super market if that’s the only money you had? That same amount can get you a basket

of small sweet oranges (mangada) that you can take for a 2-3 days. Learn to appreciate your status and fit within your pocket.

Which fruits do you always take and why?

Now that you know why your body needs vitamins and minerals, what are going to do about it? Let’s take a simple evaluation. Tick only the fruits you took yesterday.

Fruits and juices
Apples
Oranges
Mangoes
Papayas
Passion fruits
Peaches
Straw berries
Guavas
Lemon
Pineapples
Bogoya
Water melon
Cucumber

If your score is anywhere below 9 servings per day, GNLD’s Carotenoid Complex can help you bridge the gap between what you really should eat, and what you really do eat.

9 or more: -Fantastic! Keep it up.
7-8:- You are almost there; just add a few more servings every day.
5-6: – Good work, but you need to make the effort to increase your intake.
3-4:- Your intake is average, but not at a healthy level. To ensure your long-term health, now is the time to start following a healthy diet that is rich in carotenoid-rich fruits and vegetables.
Less than 2: You need to modify your diet drastically and add carotenoid-rich fruits and vegetables with every meal and snack. You are setting yourself up for possible health problems in the future if you continue to eat less than 2 servings per day.

Research shows that most of the fruits and vegetables that we take have lost 70% of the nutrients to the condition they are exposed to. Take oranges for example.

A farmer in Kabale harvests oranges on Monday, takes them to the local market on Tuesday from where a trader buys them and packs them in polythene. They are transported to Kampala on

Wednesday on an open vehicle in the hot sun and they arrive at night so that she can only keep them in her store for a day. She finally places them in the market stalls on Thursday and you buy them on Friday. Because of the high prices, you buy a basin full and carry it home so that it can take you for the next 5 days, so you instruct the house help; “please don’t waste a lot of oranges by eating them, only blend a few at lunch time.” By the time you take the last orange the next
Friday, what percentage of nutrients is available in it? What about the pesticides, growth boosters and other chemicals that were applied?

Here comes the need to supplement your food.
Carotenoid complex
Dr. Arthur Furst, the world-renowned toxicologist, cancer researcher, founder of the
SAB and Stanford Cancer Chemotherapy laboratory, developed the only whole food carotenoid supplement proven by the USDA to protect the heart, defend cells and boost immunity.
It rises the immunity by 37% in just 20 days.
It also boots antioxidant levels in the body for long term cellular protection against free radicals, thereby reducing the risk of cancer formation and aging.
Good for sicklers, HIV/AIDS patients and any other person who needs uttermost protection.
Every bottle has carotenoid power of approximately 115kg from different raw fruits and vegetables.

Flavonoid complex
Made from yellow, red and green fruits and vegetables that;
Supports capillary strength and cardiovascular health, promotes cellular health and normal tissue growth, anti-inflammatory and protection of the internal organs.

Cruciferous plus
Made of pungent vegetables that people don’t like eating, it is proven to defend and protect cells and tissues. It also contains soy isoflavones that maintain optimal hormonal activity thereby preventing hormonal cancers like prostate cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer.

• Children need an exclusive VITA-GUARD, a chewable antioxidant with carotenoids and

flavonoids to enhance immune function and resistance to day-to-day challenges.

Proteins are the building blocks of our bodies. Just like a house, each block has an equal supportive function so that a slight mistake on it affects the entire building.

Proteins are a major (macro) nutrient in the body meaning that they are needed in large amounts.

Sources of proteins are plant and animal tissues. Plant sources are soya products, beans and nuts.
Animal sources are meats, eggs, cheese, milk and dairy products.

Proteins are made up of smaller units called amino acids. They are 22 in number out of which 13 amino acids can be synthesized (manufactured) by the body and only 9 MUST come from the diet.

Are you having a protein-filled diet with all the 22 amino acids?

What happens when you boil protein foods in a sauce pan? Some oily cream floats on top.

Protein foods contain natural oils (cholesterol) which are good and bad. They coagulate (solidify)
from inside the blood vessels making blood thick and heavy so that it flows sluggishly. Some end up sticking on the sides of the vessels making them narrow for blood flow. This creates a high pressure in the blood that causes a threat to the blood vessels and the heart. This results in hypertension (High Blood Pressure) which may result in stroke or heart failure.

Plant proteins are the best because they do not have the bad cholesterol. Eat animal proteins sparingly especially red meat. Chicken and fish are however very nutritious.

To remove the bad cholesterol from your blood, you need to take natural cleansers like omega-3 oils.

The SAB has developed for you the best OMEGA-3 SALMON OIL PLUS that will get rid of those unwanted oils from your blood and heart. The pure salmon fish extract will also provide other functions; Protect and increase brain power, regulate sperm level, reduce inflammation and swollen body parts by 68% in just 8 weeks, support heart and cardiovascular health as well as maintenance of health and strong joints.

FATS AND SUGARS

Fats are necessary and vital for the wellbeing of the body. They act as insulators to heat loss and can be broken down to provide energy in case of starvation. They perform many other functions which gives you the reason to why you need them. However excess of them is very dangerous.

They are stored under the heart, around the hips and beneath the armpits of females and around the bellies of men.

Today, our diets are dominated by junk; fries everywhere in restaurants and homes, chapattis, samosas, cakes etc. These have a more harmful impact on our health than good. Avoid them and take boiled or steamed foods than fired ones.

Sugars on the other hand have dominated the market especially artificial sweeteners in soda, juice, wines, ice cream, sweets and many others.

Every human needs only 2 spoonfuls of sugar a day.

Did you know that most of us take 20-40 spoonfuls of sugar every day?

Many of us take sodas and other juices that contain sweeteners. Have you heard about sweeteners? Now let’s also dissect sweeteners and let you know why you need to go slow on them.

Many times, nutritionists discourage against foods with artificial sweeteners like soda, do you know why?

Sweeteners are additives that taste like sugar and are meant to sweeten food. Today, many products on the market mainly packed foods comprise man made non-caloric sweeteners normally called “sugar free”. Some sweeteners like saccharine, stevia, and agave nectar are tastier and fairly healthy, while others like cyclamate and aspartame are not recommended.

Once you get used to too much sweeteners, you cannot escape from the unhealthy consequences like dental cavities, tooth decay, obesity and related complications like diabetes 2, hypertension, cancer, osteoporosis and mineral deficiencies.

A singe spoonful of sweeteners is equivalent to 6 spoonfuls of ordinary sugar.
100ml of soda = 16 spoonfuls of ordinary sugar,
Hence, 300ml = 48 spoonfuls of sugar.
One should not therefore take more than 300ml of soda in 6 days.

You might be digging your own grave in one way or the other. Check your lifestyle or else you may be disappointed at the end………watch out!
