Starting A Podcast

When deciding what type of podcast to create, take some time and think about who your target market is. If you have a website, I’m sure you thought about who your target market is while you were putting it all together. So hopefully you have this step already taken care of. Starting a podcast is very simple but first you really have to know who you are talking to and what type of content and topics to provide.

Starting A Podcast: Defining Your Niche

Here are some tips to help you find your podcasting niche. Once you understand this starting a podcast is so much easier.

So, like I said before the first step is defining who your target market is and the topics that interest them. You can always take a look at your own website and see what kind of content you have added and what main topics are covered. Take that content and put it into audio form.

For example, if you have a website that talks about business mentoring, you can create your podcast based around the same type of mentoring information on your website.

You have a variety of choices such as conducting interviews , Q&A sessions where your prospects could ask questions or you simply could just speak directly to your audience. Also, people love it when you share your advice and feed back on books you have read, audios you have listened to and products that you have personally tried.

Starting A Podcast: Ask Your Target Market

If your skeptical about starting a podcast and find yourself not quiet sure what to podcast about all you have to do is ask your audience aka target market. You can set up a form on your website with specific questions and let your target market tell you what they want to hear about. The more detailed the feedback is from your audience the easier it will be to tailor a podcast around your target market.

Starting a Podcast: Asking your audience for ideas about your podcast topics is a great idea and can greatly benefit your business. You can develop information products. This will increase your audience and increase traffic and profits. The key is to give your audience what they want so they will keep coming back for more

Happy Podcasting!
