Are you or someone in your family gluten sensitive? You don’t have to deprive yourself of good food. You just need to get creative with what you put into your body. Here is a gluten free granola recipe. It is a healthy gluten free snack. It’s easy to make and you will love it!
Gluten Free Granola Recipe
Here are the ingredients you will need for your gluten free granola recipe:
*Note: Almonds must be soaked for at least 8-12 hours before hand
3 cups old fashioned, organic, and gluten- free oats
1 cup of raw, soaked organic almonds, coarsely chopped
½ cup of shredded organic coconut
3 tablespoons of packed organic brown sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon of raw organic cocoa
½ teaspoon of ginger
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup raw organic honey
2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil
1 cup organic raisins or cranberries (or dried organic blueberries!)
Gluten Free Granola Recipe Directions
1.Preheat oven to 300°F.
2.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
3.Combine oats, almonds, coconut, brown sugar, cinnamon, raw cocoa, ginger and salt in a large bowl.
4. Stir together honey and oil in a small pan over low heat until combined. Pour honey and oil mixture into the large bowl with oat mixture and stir well.
5. Spread homemade granola mixture into an even layer onto lined baking sheet. Bake granola mixture for about 40 minutes. Be sure to check every 10 minutes to stir and rotate pan. When granola turns golden brown, remove from over and let cool.
6. Pour granola back into large bowl and stir in raisins and or cranberries until combined.
7. Now your organic gluten free granola recipe is ready to be eaten as a healthy breakfast or delicious afternoon snack!
Gluten Free Granola Recipe
You can do lots with this gluten free granola snack. This granola recipe can be added to your yogurt or sprinkle on top of your frozen yogurt, eat it for breakfast as a cereal, and even eat it plain for a snack on your way to the gym or on long hikes with the family.
You can also make a special treat for yourself such as peanut butter chocolate bars.
Make a peanut butter chocolate bar:
Roll your granola in peanut butter and shape into balls or bars dip in melted chocolate then cool in the refrigerator.
