How to set the trap for the stalker

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Let me share something with you that actually happened to my wife and I a couple years ago,  we had a stalker who would leave bizarre messages, letters and even come to the house and vandalize our house and vehicles.  This went on for months and we would call the police to file a report each time.  This was a daily occurrence.  The stalker would drive by or stop at the house to leave her most recent rant daily if not several times a day.  If you have ever had a stalker this is very disturbing particularly once the rants turn into threats and law enforcement agents will not do anything except file a report and tell you that there is not much they can do unless someone gets hurt. This went on for over 6 months and the threats became more serious and still the police would do nothing.  they wouldn’t even go pay her a visit to inform her that she needed to stop or she could end up in serious trouble if not dead.  Stalking laws are very week and it’s not uncommon to hear stories on the news that end up with either the victim or the stalker being shot or seriously injured. I finally got tired of the stalker and the police inability to do anything about it so I decided that I would start building a case of my own and kept every deranged letter, phone call message and package she would leave.  I also installed a camera system around my house and believe it or not, the cameras were not completely installed yet and we were capturing footage of her driving by.  The very next day we had images of her vandalizing our cars and leaving letters in the mail box.  Up until now the police would say how do you know it is her.  Well now they couldn’t say that anymore since we had images of her, her car and license plate.  She did finally leave a note that the police took seriously and we had to get a lawyer to represent us when she went to trial.  All this cost us several thousand dollars but the best envestment was in the camera system.  I later became a sales rep for self defense and home security products which you can view at www.texasdefensemaster.com or www.texassecuritymaster.com.  Don’t let this happen to you.  The only way to stop a nut job like this is to be proactive and build your own case before someone get hurt or worse.  Protect yourself. Oh by the way, we won our case and she did 9 months in jail.
