List Mania! Who Is Your Favorite Marketer?

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

If you have been around the internet marketing world for any length of time I’m sure that you are on quite a few lists, as am I.  Today and tomorrow, January 5th and 6th I am conducting a little social experiment. I need to get a lot of comments on this post, truthfully I am looking for 100 unique comments.

So what I want to know is who is your favorite marketer of this group and why?

If you have strong feelings, either positive or negative, about any of these marketers now is your chance to express them. Once the experiment is concluded the results will be collated and emailed to the marketers themselves to help them in their efforts to serve  you better.

List Mania Maniacs:

Jennifer Ledbetter, AKA Potpie Girl. Jennifer is best known for her down home charm and helping new marketers get a solid start. She has put together a private site that is geared towards helping people make money without going broke first. One Week Marketing Site does an outstanding job of getting the newbie started and teaching the old dogs new tricks.

Travis Sago, the Bum Marketer. Travis is a good ole boy and his country accent comes through thick in all of his email correspondence. One of Travis’ staple is his Instacash product    This package includes Niches, a keywords list and articles. He also helps you get the big picture for niche marketing.

Russell Brunson, The DotComSecrets Tycoon. Russell is one of the button up kind of marketers out in the ether world. DotComSecrets and its sister sites teach the basics of list marketing. Specifically how to build a list and how to talk to  your list once you’ve built it. He has been sharing a site buying strategy with his list lately, which is kind of an intriguing concept.

Dave Wood, Empower Network, Bad Ass. Dave is, well Dave. His lose style and folksy story telling have created an interesting group of followers. People tend to love Dave or hate him, at least with his followers he knows where he stands.

Tiffany Dow, The Queen of Copy. Tiffany, is a mom first and a marketing mentor second.

For a long time I simply taught “online marketing,” which I have been very successful at. But I’ve evolved into a whole life mindset – one that says you need to pursue success in all areas of your life for it to truly work.

My personal experience with Tiffany has been to purchase her PLR products which have always been first rate in my opinion.

Derek Halpern, Socialtriggers.com. Derek is all about the psychology of the sale. Where to put your forms, which words perform better. In fact he is the inspiration for this post to begin with! He likes to see how things work in the internet social sphere and comment on them as they apply to:

  • Turn Random Traffic Into Loyal Subscribers

  • Persuade People to Buy Your Products

  • Encourage People to Share Your Content and Website

Harlan Kilstein, Curating King. Harlan teaches a variety of things from coaching on curated blogs to changing your mental focus and gaining success and wealth with his millionaire mindset program. From time to time he develops interesting tools that he shares with his list too. One of his masterpieces that I have watched over the last year..
The Dogingtonpost

There you go, the top seven lists I’m on. What do you think? Which list provides the most bang for your buck? Who has taught you the most? Who has sucked the most money out of your pockets? Whose style do you prefer? Whose full of …well, you know.

It’s open season in the comments below on the lists and marketers who mail to us, not each other, and please try to keep the language PG (my mom reads this blog and I don’t want to give her an heart attack). Ready? Go….
