A mobile marketing campaign is a great way to reach a large amount of people with very little money or time invested. It is rare to find someone today who doesn’t own a mobile device, whether it’s a cell phone, smartphone, tablet computer, iPod or any other device with web connectivity.
Make sure you give A/B testing a try with your mobile page. This can help you understand what your visitors may be having trouble using or understanding. For your landing page, have two different versions and see which is more successful. Use the more successful page.
Test for usability, it only takes a few moments! It will allow you to make sure your audience can view the material you are going to send out. Conduct “test runs” on people who you know, to be sure everything is in working order.
Work to please your customers. If you don’t know what your customers want, find out! If you don’t know the needs and preferences of your target market, you will have difficulty gaining them as customers. Get to know them as much as you possibly can.
Be consistent when promoting your mobile strategy’s call to action. Use a variety of promotional venues, such as Twitter, Facebook, your site or even your store’s physical location. This ensures that your campaign receives as much exposure as possible, and also allows your customers a variety of ways to connect with your business.
Use maps that work with a variety of mobile devices to attract customers. When a person searches for a business on his or her phone, the map allows them to find it quickly.
Keep your call to action simple. It takes mobile users much longer to fill out forms than with a keyboard, so make sure not to require too much information input. Your mailing list should be easy for someone to opt-in to.
Get to know your audience. Before you make assumptions and put a lot of money into mobile marketing efforts, make sure you analyze your audience and their preferences. Are they primarily computer users or mobile device users? Which operating systems do they use for their phones? Learn about your potential audience, and you’ll be better able to reach them.
Your printed advertisements should include QR codes for your technologically savvy customers. Customers can then use their smart phones to reach your website and find coupons. Have the codes printed on posters, brochures, business cards and catalogs. With a QR code, an interested customer can instantly find out more information about your products and services.
Maps and directions should be easy to use. Lot of people use their phones to help them navigate to their destinations. Allow them to contact you easily. Make sure maps to your location are clear and concise on any mobile device. Also, make sure your address appears on the top mapping programs. Use a Google maps link for exact directions.
Mobile Marketing
When creating a mobile marketing campaign you must focus on keeping your existing customers as opposed to gaining new clients. Your existing prospects will most likely be more receptive to updates and text messages than newer prospects. New customers often view mobile marketing as spam.
The number of mobile devices grows daily, and mobile marketing is growing as well. Soon, most people will access the internet through their mobile devices, so mobile marketing is going to become incredibly important. With these tips, you will move ahead of your competitors; and topping that, you will be empowered with superior customer communication. Best of luck in your marketing
