Gmail

Gmail has recently made a change that makes a computer chooses which messages you see instead of you choosing. Good news- there are ways you can fix this so YOU get to decide which emails you see.
If you don’t want to miss important messages, training, updates, videos, announcements,or anything that YOU want to receive from me or anyone else, follow one of the solutions below!

GMAIL Option 1: Take Control!

Place email in Primary tab

The best way to ensure that our emails appear in the Primary tab is to manually set this up.
Here are two different ways you can ensure that an email will show up in your inbox.

I.  Drag and Drop

If our message didn’t appear in your inbox, it probably is in your promotions tab, just because we are a newsletter with an unsubscribe option. The easiest way to move an email in your inbox is to left-click and hold on the email to drag it from the Promotions tab over to the Primary tab.

Releasing the mouse drops the email into the newly selected tab. Once dropped,
Gmail displays a yellow box asking if you want to make this change permanent.
Yes to ensure that all messages with the same address will appear in

thePrimary tab going forward.

II. Right-Click

Similar to the drag and drop option, you can right-click on the email in some browsers to bring up a small list of options. Click the Move to tab option and select the tab you want to move the email to.

Selecting the tab moves the email and displays a yellow box asking if you want to make this change permanent.Yes to ensure that all messages with the same from address will appear in the Primary tab going forward.

GMAIL Option 2: Change back!

Here’s how to simply go back to the “OLD Gmail”!

Step #1:Click the Settings Icon and click “Settings” in the drop down menu.

Step #2 –Click on “Inbox”, as seen circled in red below.

Step #3 –Select “Primary”, and uncheck other boxes that you don’t want your Email sorted by.

Remove the checks by ‘Social’ and ‘Promotions’.

Final Step – Simply scroll down to the bottom of that page & SAVE your changes.
