Blogging For Money: Basic SEO Blogging Tips
If you want your blog to be found by the search engines, namely Google, you will need some basic SEO tips.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. What that basically means is that your writing is full of content that Google will gladly share when someone is searching for the same information that you’ve written about.
Once you’ve answered the 6 questions we discussed in a previous blog post, found HERE, you now know what to write about in such a way that
people will get the answer to their problem.
If you have your keywords already figured out, now you need to apply a few elements that are necessary for an SEO ready blog post.
Basic SEO Blogging Tips:
1) You must know your keyword(s); the words a person will type in to the search box on a search engine.
2) Your keyword must be in your title, first sentence and last sentence.
3) You must use your keywords in your Header tags (h1,h2,h3)
4) You need an internal link to another of your blog posts.
5) Your keyword density should be between 1 to 2%; keyword appears once per 100 words.
6) Your blog post should be no less than 400 words in total.
7) You need at least one photo with your keyword in the ALT tag.
Now, if you are using a free blog, some of these elements will not be properly applied since they are intended to be online journals, not marketing pages. You can certainly try to use these SEO blogging tips and see how well it works out for you.
