Belief…It’s A Big Key To Getting What You Want

What does stop you from getting your dreams and goals?
There can be a few different things that will hold you back.
First, make sure that you are very clear on what you want to achieve. And why you want to achieve it. What feeling do you get when you visualize yourself getting this?… What will you be like when you’re being, doing or owning what you’re working towards?
Asking yourself these questions and answering them will help you to be clear and stay focused.
So, lets say that you get very clear on your what and your why, but you still get distracted or you don’t take the necessary action to achieve your goal?
What the heck!!
Take a deep breath and check where your belief level is.
Sometimes people don’t realize what their subconscious mind is holding onto…that’s probably keeping them stuck.
Here are some questions to ask yourself…
How do I see myself?…Do I see success or failure?
Even with this, did you fail with an attempt at something? Or do you think, because it didn’t go how you thought it should, that you’re a failure? Do you see the difference? The first is, the situation failed, the later, you are a failure.
Do I believe that I am capable of doing something new?
If you have learned anything new, you can learn another new thing.
Do I always look at the bad side of things?
Many times people don’t even pay attention to this. Just be aware and take notice of your attitude towards situations. Just notice, don’t analyze, you may be too hard on yourself.
Here are a few books that I recommend for you to read to improve your belief in yourself and improve the image that you have of yourself:
Psycho-Cybernetics by: Maxwell Maltz
Confidence by: Alan Loy McGinnis
The Power Of Now by: Eckhart Tolle
As A Man Thinketh by James Allen
Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill
If you have any of these books and haven’t read them in a while, I suggest you take them out and read them again. I guarantee you that you will gain some new insight!
If you don’t have them, then go online look them up and choose one that resonates with you- purchase it or download it and read it. Leaders are Readers, it’s simple as that!
You will be very glad you did!
And take notice of what you learn and how to apply it.
Do those two things…LEARN and APPLY!
Then…
Jot down your results in a journal or somewhere that you can refer back to.
Writing things down, or typing them into your computer helps you to get clearer on your thoughts. And you realize the changes and improvements that you’ve made. You’ll also see where you need to change and improve other things and if you take a few minutes to think about these things, you’ll get ideas on how to make those necessary changes.
What we’ve found is that if your belief level is low, you won’t take the actions that you need to take to reach your dreams and goals. If you think about that for a minute, it makes sense…if you don’t believe you can have it, if you think or tell yourself, “I don’t know if that’ll really happen to me” then what do you think the rest of your thoughts are going to be? AND what actions do you think you will take? Hmmm. You will be spending (wasting) so much energy and thought process on proving these thoughts to be correct. Instead you’ve got to tell yourself “I can be this, I can do this” because you can. I challenge you to sit down and think about things that you’ve done in your life, I bet you have a few things that you’ve accomplished!
