My Personal Story…Changes Are Being Made!!

For years now I have known deep down in my heart I was born to do something more with my life than I was doing. Have you ever had that feeling?

Part of it was, I had this thought that while raising my kids, I couldn’t make the shift to change my career. It would take time away from being with my kids. And I was in a career that was flexible with my hours and allowed me to be creative, “so just don’t stretch yourself too thin”, was the lie I let myself believe. But deep down I knew that I wanted to do something different.

For 35 years I’ve been in the beauty industry…34 of them standing behind the chair doing hair. I also was trained in Skin Care and Make Up Artistry. My main things was cutting, coloring and styling hair. The tough part was, I love doing that. But, again, afteer so many years I had other things that I wanted to do.

My husband and I have done several different businesses selling different things. While I’d get into them and be excited about them, they never really went anywhere. Mostly due to the fact that we were still trading hours for dollars. We wanted to be able to travel, go where we wanted, when we wanted, how we wanted and with who we wanted. Our kids have always been a focus for us. Our relationship was important to us and we had spent alot of time as they were growing up trying to make ends meet and trying to figure out a better way to live life.

Thankfully, my husband is very good at scoping things out and keeping his mind open to new things! That’s how he came across the business that we own now. He would always say, “I want a business that I can be anywhere in the world and all I need to have is my computer and an internet connection, and I can make money”. Well, he found one that gives him ALL that and more! Check it out!

I do have to admit, I did roll my eyes a bit when he first told me about it. I was thinking…here we go again. But, my husband was very smart! He turned on the webinar in the room we were both in. He said “I’ve been following this guy for a couple of months, and tonigh he’s launching this new concept for an online business”. Then my husband kept his mouth shut and let me listen to the webinar. We were both sold! And very excited!

We have learned so much about ourselves,working with people, running a business and how to let go of some of the silly thought process and limiting barriers that we put on ourselves.

And there’s were I’ve made the most significant changes in my life! Learning to stop and think about the stupid things that we’re taught to believe in life. lots of times from our well-meaning parents, teachers, family members and friends. I had to learn to really think for myself. Not worry about what others think about me. Not to be a rebel for the sake of being a rebel but for my own sanity.

What we do in our business is help people become the person they desire and deserve to be. We help people break through barriers to see that life doesn’t have to be a grind. We all have dreams inside of us…a purpose that needs to be expressed, created and brought to life…to give life…to ourselves and others!

One thing that I realized quite a few years ago, was that I could do someones hair and make them look beautiful but they wouldn’t always be able to reproduce it, even though I had some clients who could reproduce the look. Or, They would want to change their hairstyle, yet wouldn’t let me do anything different, man that was frustrating.What I figured out was it wasn’t the hairstyle I gave them (cuz at first I’d take it personally). Lots of times it had nothing to do with their hair!!! They just weren’t happy with life! They had an image of themselves that was very self=defeating. I read a book called Pyscho-Cybernetics by: Maxwell Maltz, he’s a plastic surgeon. He talks about this very thing of how we view ourselves…it is a MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!

I have read many other books on Personal Development which have taught me alot about we as humans. Why we do what we do and how to recognize when we need to change and how to go about making those changes.

Now in my life and in my business I’m able to help people find their beauty within so they are beautiful on the outside!! I have found my purpose and my passion!!
