In a environment where majority are moving towards public marketing, companies have had to develop and embrace various strategies targeted at promotion of their products. There are those sites which allow a particular type of articles to be put by customers. This makes the access to such articles simple since it is all in the web. To drive sales earnings, companies have implemented public marketing in different levels. By creating certain features that only allow particular people and articles these public places have drawn thousands of people and companies as well. When discussing of Pinterest vs. Facebook there is a variety of subjects that come up.

Pinterest and Facebook

are social sites enabling users to post content ranging from pictures, videos and other form of content that enable users to communicate effectively with others. The fact that they only allow adults to register does not mean they allow adult oriented content. In fact, posting porn content will have your account suspended, if not closed. This fact ensures that the masses can comfortably share with their loved ones.

Since people have busy lives which may lead to them not having time to physically interact, these sites ensure that your friends do not miss out on memorable occasions in your life. Users can share pictures of interesting events and people. Since they are targeted to the masses, they have been standardized such that they are very easy to use or navigate.

Pinterest and Facebook are free to use in terms of registration. Anyone can create a free account to these sites. This means you need not have any credit card information for you to register. The registration process is quick and new members must be 18 years and above in order to open user accounts.

One of the main differences is that the first network is mainly for pictures. It acts like an internet pin board where you can have your favorite images in a collection. This makes things quite easy since you no longer have to keep the physical pin board. You can also share your pin board to far away friends thus enhancing user satisfaction. The second site allows all type of content that users can imagine of. It is more general ranging from photos, videos, status updates, notes, documents etc.

This may make it hard for some people to use such features due to excess content and apps :-/

In terms of size, Facebook is by far the largest social network. The former is smaller in terms of size and number of members. Traffic wise too, Facebook still dominates the internet. Also in terms of revenues, The former boasts of owning some of the most expensive domain names on the internet, but still, the overall revenues are smaller compared to the latter.

Pinterest depends on programs which are published on Facebook in form of applications where customers are rerouted to the website. This implies that Pinterest is much lesser and reliant on the larger opponent for customers.

For any company that is seeking a growth strategy that will work, these give a fit occasion for your online business. When also weighing the options on Pinterest vs. Facebook evaluate the pros and cons of each before making a final decision on your marketing strategy. Also consider other tools like WordPress to promote your biz through web content. It is advisable to take advantage of the most successful networks in the world.
