Your Content And Context Are Critical To Your Success!

In discussing content and context, I will be elaborating on a concept that is widely overlooked as an integral part to developing a millionaire mind. Let’s begin by giving the standard definitions for both terms.
- content – the events, substance, physical detail and information held within something.
- context – the interrelated conditions or environment in which something exists or occurs
I will now give my definitions in regards to your millionaire mind:
- content – the information and knowledge held within your mind necessary to achieving your goals
- context – the beliefs, thought processes and interrelated dynamics that go into you subconsciously (and consciously) deciding what’s an achievable goal for you
I was at a business seminar in the San Francisco area when I was first introduced to the concept of content and context via an interesting illustration. The seminar facilitator began the illustration by bringing out a container filled with water, an empty glass and an empty pitcher (which of course, was bigger than the empty glass).
The water that filled the container was to represent content. The empty glass and the empty pitcher were to represent two varying levels of context. The facilitator then proceeded to pour water into the empty glass until it overflowed. Then, water was poured into the empty pitcher until it overflowed as well. Of course, it took much longer for the pitcher to overflow!
That was a very interesting illustration and the impact hit me immediately. As we learned more about content and context in that segment of the seminar, I realized that I needed to familiarize myself with this dynamic principle. I also acknowledged that I needed to add this tool to my millionaire mind tool chest immediately!
How does this impact you? Let me give you an example. If your present mental contextNO WAY any ideas, information, or strategies on how to earn more than that will be attracted to or accepted by you.
Opportunities to make more than that could be around you the whole time, but you would be blind to them because of your mental context at that time.
Referring back to the visual illustration I told you about, the empty glass had to be replaced by the empty pitcher BEFORE more water could be retained. In other words, the mental context had to be expanded before more content could come pouring in!
So, if you don’t like your current position in life or would like to expand your horizons, first focus on expanding your mental context. Expand what you believe is possible for your life. Expand what you believe you are capable of achieving.
Look and reach for higher stars than you ever have before. If you do that, I promise you that your world will change. See you at the top!
