What’s one of the common keys to achieving millionaire success? Find your passion. Just when you thought it involved inheriting a load of cash from your rich grandfather (or grandmother), marrying a millionaire, or scratching off a lottery ticket.
Finding your passion is indeed one of the most commonly cited cornerstones of wealth building. What is passion?
- passion – a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object or concept

Let me tell you a short story. I was returning home from a vacation in Miami in 2005 when the airplane landed at the airport. On the path from the runway to the gate, I began hearing conversations around me.
With Miami being a popular tourist destination, I assume a good percentage of the passengers were returning from some sort of leisure vacation, as I was.
I heard comments like:
- Back to the real world.
- It was fun while it lasted!
- I wish I didn’t have to go back to work!
Hearing these comments made me realize that most people are living lives devoid of passion. As children, we typically had lives centered around being care free, having fun and excitement. As adulthood was ushered in, somewhere down the line those things were replaced with monotony, boredom, and shackles.
That’s where finding your passion comes in. Finding your passion (and following it) allows you to escape the four letter word – WORK.
Have you ever realized that time flies when you’re doing something you truly enjoy? But if you’re doing something you hate doing, ten minutes seems like ten HOURS? Acquiring wealth is not an easy task. If it was, everyone would be wealthy.
That’s why it is imperative that you find your passion.
Finding and following your passion will allow you to weather the tough times climbing the mountain due to the commitment to your passion. Hard work doesn’t feel so bad when you enjoy the process.
It actually feels like play! The energy and the vibrancy that comes from doing what you were put here to do serve as the sails on your ship to success.
If you aren’t already, do yourself a favor and find your passion. What do you enjoy doing so much that you lose track of time? What do you find most exciting to talk about? If you have free time, what do you usually do?
If you had all the money and time necessary to pursue something, what would that be? The answers to these questions provide clues to your passions. Use these clues to identify your passions, commit to pursuing them and success is soon to follow. See you at the top!
