Your skin is what shows your real age.

Beauty Part 2

No matter what you wear, your skin will reveal your true age. Remember that your skin is part of you, and not just a shell. In reality, your skin is the largest organ in your body.

Use lukewarm water when washing your face.

Excessively hot water can make your skin dry out, especially on the face and when it is cold outside. By forgoing hot water, you can protect your skin and allow it to become more radiant and even in tone.

Over the course of the year, especially during summer and winter times, your skin will get dehydrated due to exposure to heat and air conditioning. Showering everyday can cause your skin to lose natural oils. Whenever you can, only shower every two days to ensure that your skin remains healthy and glowing.

One fantastic tip for your skin is to sleep enough.

Not getting enough sleep will show on your pores and your skin. For healthy skin, aim to sleep for eight hours nightly.

You can appear more youthful if you practice the right exfoliation techniques. Find a scrub that does not have large grains, as this will penetrate your skin effectively. Once a week, you should exfoliate your skin.

To improve the quality of your skin, exfoliate each time you bathe by gently rubbing your skin with a natural bristle brush. This gets rid of any dead skin cells and exposes healthy radiant cells. It also helps toxins flow freely out of your body.

Always use warm, not hot or cold water to wash your face. Water that is too cold simply closes pores, preventing you from washing harmful bacteria off your face. Hot water can dehydrate your skin, which gives it a red, blotchy appearance. Warmer water opens the pores but does not cause inflammation.

If your skin is blotchy, try using vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 is known to hold in moisture while protecting your skin from things that could irritate it. After using it regularly for a couple of weeks, your skin will become hydrated and will even look healthier.

Make sure your diet is antioxidant rich to deal with free radicals. You can sip green tea, sample lots of delicious fruits, and nibble on some dark chocolate. These antioxidants can protect skin from smoking, UV rays, and stress damage.

Do not drink alcohol if you want your skin to stay healthy. Having an occasional drink is alright, but too much of it will make your pores bigger, and you will have oily skin. Your pores will be more likely to become clogged and the excess oil will give skin and unhealthy appearance.

It is important to shower after working out. Just wiping won’t rid your skin of pore clogging bacteria. Also, be certain your shower is with warm water.

Use a moisturizer on your child two times a day if they have dry skin. Avoid using moisturizers with fragrances that are made for adults. If the lotions don’t remedy the problem, consult your doctor to see if they can recommend a medical grade moisturizer.
