Is North Korea Serious About Nuclear War
Is North Korea on a doomsday path? Recently scrapping its peace pact with South Korea over increased UN sanctions, the phone has rang on deaf ears and it also has closed it’s shared border point. This was an armistice that has been in place since July 27, 1953 and was designed to insure a complete cessation of hostilities and acts of armed force. It restored a border between the Korea’s near the 38th parallel(Korean Demilitarized Zone).
This area is currently the most heavily defended national border in the world. There was no official peace treaty signed even though the war was considered to have ended. Backed by China, they and North Korea feel they won the Korean War. Can a country who pours their GDP straight into their military sustain itself? At the cost of starving their people their military and nuclear ambitions continue to grow.
Could A Son Change It’s Future
It’s capital is Pyongyang, literally meaning (Flat Land) it’s largest city located on the Taedong River and in 2008 claimed a population of over 3 million. During the 2oth century this capital came to be known by missionaries as the “Jerusalem of the East.” It is known to also have very many willow trees, which many poems have been written.
It’s hierarchy and founder King Tongmyong was purported to have ridden a Kirin( a type of mythical Unicorn). There is no evidence though it is sensationalized with North Korean history that a secret unicorn lair exists. It’s leaders especially of recent years, due to their aggressive behavior and hatred for western culture have given rise to a family possibly bent on it’s own destruction.
Even with continued sanctions from other countries, the death of his 2 successors, the newest Kim jong-un seems to be following in the footsteps of continual rhetoric at the west with plans to wipe the US from the world map, although our military says they are not capable of such a feat. So the two Korea’s go at it today escalating tensions of ultimate annihilation as the UN tightens sanctions on the North for continuing it’s testing of nuclear bombs. Six other occasions have found the North backing out of their agreements to not test nuclear weapons between 1994-2013!

North Korea if you ask me is barking up the wrong tree threatening the US and it’s allies in the area. We might seem hard pressed in other areas of the world, but I seriously doubt the US or it’s neighbors will even allow a nuke to get off their soil. What do you think?
