Are You Putting Your Business First Before Your Job
Today was a bad day for my fellow employees. We were told that they will be cutting back our hours to working five eight hour days just to make 40 hours. Now we were getting 60 to 70 hours a week. Everybody thought that when BMW had their shutdown for the past three weeks that we were going to work every day but that didn’t happen. A lot of them said that they were going to start looking for another job because they can’t survive off of those hours.
That goes to show you that you can lose your job in a blink of an eye.
That’s why I decided to put my business first. When I heard the news I didn’t get all worked up because I know that I am on my way to building a successful business. People don’t realize that you need a plan B to fall back on when plan A falls. Not only a backup but a powerful one.
Your job shouldn’t be the end of you. It shouldn’t be where you are going to spend the rest of your life. When you have a job it’s like having a second home. A second home that you don’t really want to go to but you have no choice. A job should be a stepping stone or a starter to help grow your business first.
Your business First Should Be Your Main Priority
Having a business means that you are concentrating more on it than your job. The first thing is that you have to treat your online business really seriously. Putting your business first means that you don’t want to slave for the rest of your life. That’s why you should fund your business with at least 20% of your check that you get from your job with PPC and other types of marketing. Once you make enough money from your business then you can start taking money from it and putting it back in your business.
You see, paid advertising is the quickest way to build your business, period.
Why People Don’t Put Their Business First
You should already know this but people don’t put their business first simply because they don’t want to go through the struggle. The struggle of having to budget to fit their business in. You will have to sacrifice some things that you do or buy on a regular basis and that becomes a major problem for some folks.
Sometimes when people know what they have to do like be consistent daily in your business to see results. They tend to fall off course and forget why they started in the first place. Bottom line, serious people put their business first and don’t look back.
Others only dream of being successful but don’t ever take action. They hate on those that are successful rather than working on something themselves.
