My Motorcycle Accident Changed My Life

Yes Motorcycles Are Fun

If you have a motorcycle than you can agree with me that they are fun to ride. Just the feeling of having all that power in the palm of my hand. At first I thought that it would be hard to ride but I caught on within 2 days. I remember when I road one for the first time. I can admit that I was scared but I did it anyway. Come to find out that it wasn’t as hard as I thought.

My little brother had his bike and I wanted one too so we did countless jobs to come up with the money. We drove from Greenville South Carolina all the way to Charlotte to pick up my 750 Schrage. It was stretched, black and white. I couldn’t wait to get it home. When you have your first bike or your first anything. You can’t wait to try it out. Then there was the motorcycle accident.

I Can’t Believe I Had a Motorcycle Accident

I only had the bike for three weeks. I didn’t even get to enjoy it like I wanted to. It was the weekend of the car show in Greenwood South Carolina. We rode to the car show and everything was fine that whole day but the next day was a day I will not forget.

My brother and I were on our way to our traditional “Granny Day” event at the park when we stopped to fix my chain.

The way the bike was. It had been upgraded to be a drag racing bike so it was super-fast. Well I tried to take off and the clutch got stuck. The back will jerked to the left pushing my leg into a stop sign and I tried to jump off but I was hanging off of the side and couldn’t get loose. Finally the bike fell but in the process I cut my leg with the chain and was bleeding all over the middle of the road. My brother was yelling at my two friends to bring their car so they could put me in.

Know they were driving a brand new Benz and looked at each other with hesitation like, “Uh, he not getting in this car.”

They finally pulled up and rapped my leg throwing me in the car. I was laying in the back seat thinking, “I can’t believe I just had a motorcycle accident.  I was rushed to the hospital. They put me in a wheelchair and before I knew it here come my brother speeding around the corner on his bike. He jumped off and was rushing me in the door. Don’t you know that I was sitting there bleeding and they wouldn’t let me in the door until they checked my bag.

My brother was yelling at the officers and the people at the desk trying to get me some help. I tried to calm him down because it really wasn’t that bad. The way he was acting you would think that he was the one in the accident.

They finally got to me and eventually put 25 stiches in my leg and sent me home.

A Motorcycle Accident Is Something That You Can Learn From

I may have had a motorcycle accident but that wasn’t going to keep me from getting on another one. You see, just because you fail one time doesn’t mean that you quit doing it. Things are going to happen. You can have an accident. You can lose money in the stock market. You even can date somebody for a while and break up.

The main thing is that you get back up and do it again just tweak it a little. You are only a failure if you don’t try to do it again. You are only a failure if you make excuses why you’re not going after your dreams anymore.

You have to quit thinking about what can happen and start thinking about what you are going to do to prevent it from happening. Are you going to stay up that extra hour to write that article? Are you going to do one more video and post it before you go to bed?

Just remember. The one who takes action no matter what the circumstances, succeed in life and shows themselves that they can do anything.

Do me a favor and share this with people you know.
