Did You Miss It?: “Breaking Amish” Two-Part Reunion Special Gets CRAZY

Have you been keeping up with the cast of Breaking Amish? The show follows Jeremiah, Rebecca, Abe, Kate and Sabrina, as they break away from their traditional Amish and Mennonite communities to experience and experiment with life in New York City.

Now a two-part reunion special — airing after the season finale on November 11, and on November 18 — will catch viewers up on everything that’s happened since the cameras stopped rolling. Fans of the show will get the inside story on Rebecca’s dentures, and Kate’s accusations of witchcraft, Jeremiah’s tattoo and Rebecca and Abe’s courtship. Hosted by NBC’s Michelle Beadle, the two-part reunion special will give unprecedented access to the Breaking Amish cast, and give us insight to what they really thought and felt during their unprecedented adventure.

Controversy Surrounding Breaking Amish Cast Members (what would a reality show be without some)

Shortly after airing the first episode it was reported by several news outlets that all of the cast had left their respective communities prior to taping the show, or that they were already married.The production has been forthcoming with some of the ‘non-Amish’ activities in the background of the cast. As episodes progressed, the production steadily revealed other aspects of the cast’s past activities, including items not previously released as by other media outlets.

Some of the information shared on air by the cast during the production:

• In episode 1 it is shown that Kate had spent time in Florida, driving and earning a DUI.
• In the extended version of episode 3 Jeremiah states that he was kicked out of the Amish three different times, dressing ‘English’ each time.
• In episode 6 Jeremiah states, when Abe talks about marrying Rebecca, that he was once married.
• In episode 7 Abe and Rebecca discuss how they used to sneak off – with her boyfriend and with others – to dress ‘English’ and go bowling.
• In episode 7 Rebecca discusses how Abe once moved to Kentucky and she to North Dakota, renewing their friendship when they returned to their Amish community.
• In episode 8 Sabrina discusses the fact that she had been married, in 2009, to a Mennonite man – and that marrying a best friend does not always work out.
