The only thing worse than being inconsistent in life, business, and for the focus of this article, network marketing, is just plain quitting.
Alright – back to being consistently inconsistent.

Consistently Inconsistent Pitfall 1: Your customers and prospects will be confused as hell
Imagine for a moment turning on your TV. I’m sure this has happened to you. You’re ready to watch your favorite show, which you’ve watched for a while now, and just got personally connected to the characters.
So you’re all cozy, maybe with a blanket over your feet, you turn it on… and BAM… they’ve replaced one of the characters with a new actor!
You’re taken back – and internally you’re angry – uncomfortable – in fact, you’re likely thinking of changing the channel, because it just doesn’t ‘feel’ right.
Have you ever experienced this? I sure have. And it pissed me off!
Imagine all of a sudden your customers are getting to know you – your prospects are connecting to your message, then all of a sudden you pull the bait and switch. That’s right – they would feel like they can’t trust you – because whatever you do now, will sit with them for a LONG time.
Let’s look at the other side. What if on the same show, the actors just kept getting better and better, and the characters were deeper and more revealing and you related on an even MORE emotional level?
Exactly… you would NEVER stop watching and would literally watch every show religiously.
Same with your business — be consistent.
Consistently Inconsistent Pitfall 2: YOU Will Never Gain Traction
Traction in business, especially network marketing, is one of the most sought after positions. Think of a time you were stuck in a snow storm, or in deep mud, and your wheels are spinning and spinning and spinning.
The ONLY thing you want is traction – so you can get moving, and never stop! It’s impossible to get traction, when you’re consistently inconsistent.
If you’re trudging through deep snow or mud, you’ll understand the relief when you feel your wheels connect with the ground. Like you’ve ‘GOT IT’. Ahhhhhhhh.
Now use this same thought in your network marketing business.
Having an inconsistent message over an extended period of time (at LEAST 90 days straight), or offering a TON of different programs, is like getting traction, then purposely driving straight into a snow bank or a mud hole!
Question: Would you tell your best friend to drive straight into a snow bank the second they got traction on the road?
(ya — thought that’s what you’d say)
So the next time you’re shown a new deal, or product to sell or buy, look at it like a massive mud hole you’re driving straight into!
Now of course, if you don’t even have something you are confident with, or you’re just starting out, you need to do your research and make a decision.
There’s a difference between people who are successful, and those who struggle. People who struggle seem to make decisions quickly, and change them often. People who are successful, seem to make decisions slowly, but change them VERY rarely.
Build a foundation for your decisions – and stick with them.
