Do you know that you have so many grateful things in life for you to be happy about? How aware are you of all the good things in your current life?
If you think you don’t have anything to be grateful for, now today is the day that you should take time to find out your surroundings!
Most of us are not very good at how to be grateful…. so I layout the steps for you to take to be grateful today!
There are two effective ways to find out how to be grateful in your life.
First one is… Find your blessings by daily activity…
Second is… Find your blessings by categories…
Let’s do first one now!
Find your blessings by daily activity:
You can start imagining yourself going through your normal day and start jotting down things that you feel grateful. These can be things from any area of your life.
If imagination is hard for you, take your note and pen with you for an entire day and start writing down every little things that you notice! That could be great to do
Here is the video that I found that you can use for this method.
Check it out.
Let’s get to the second one…
Find your blessings by categories:
Sometimes your busy daily activities let you pass by your great blessings… So this method could be very powerful when you completely finish it.
This method allows you to find grateful things in life by start thinking about every aspect of your life.
1. Family
Think of your family… your parents, siblings, children, and relatives. Oh, do not forget about your spouse if you have! Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to them.
2. Health
Think of your health and body parts… or could be like “I am grateful for my bright smile.” Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your health.
3. Finances
Think of your finances. In this tough economy, just having a job is a blessing. Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your finances.
4. Social Life
Think of your friends, teachers, bosses, mentors, classmates, coworkers, roommates, and neighbors. And let me add this right here… write something grateful about people who you do not get along with… and those who harmed you… Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your social life.
5. Security
Think of your security such as roof over the head, water to drink, air to breathe and so on.. Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your security.
6. Belongings & Surroundings
Think of your belongings such as house, car, clothes, computer, phone and everything you own! Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your belongings. This could be easy!
7. Spiritual Life
Think of your spiritual life. For example, I am so grateful for my mind can notice other’s sufferings so that I can care about them…. This may be little deep… but Write down twenty more things you are grateful for relating to your spiritual life.
There is no rules… Write down anything! You can be grateful for pretty much anything surrounding you!
It could be just like… I am so grateful that birds are singing every morning to energize me each day…
You know what I mean?
Once you start noticing tiny little things like this, your life will be much easier to live without focusing on bad things in life.
So let’s start writing down the things that you are grateful for if you haven’t yet!
