How to Sell T-shirts In Europe with Fabrily

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

An ad in my FaceBook feed about selling T-shirts In Europe got my attention last week. The gentleman who posted the ad is making quite good money selling T-shirts online using FaceBook and offered free training, which I took.

Selling T-shirts online has been growing in popularity lately with a well-known american company and many marketers have joined the trend. This is excellent for the USA market, but European customers are unlikely to buy goods from the USA as the shipping price is too high, and they get a tax on top of that when their parcel arrives.

Sell T-shirts In Europe with Fabrily

Fabrily solves the problem for all European customers as it is located in the UK. This is also a perfect new market for you to explore and sell T-shirts online without the need to buy the shirts, print and ship them.

There are 3 main ways you can promote the T-shirts. Promote them on your website assuming you already have lots of traffic from Europe, promote them on your FaceBook page if you have lots of Likes, or use FaceBook ads if you are starting from scratch.

My first campaign on Fabrily

Fabrily is located here.

The first thing you need is an idea of T-shirt design and a group of people to market to. If you plan to use FaceBook ads, you can target professions or interests. Some people make shirts to target nurses, fire-fighters or paramedics.

The best advise to give is to find the market, then to design the shirt.

I chose to market to entrepreneurs liking inspirational quotes and Jim Rohn as there is a huge audience in FaceBook.

I designed the T-shirt myself, but you may hire someone on Fiverr.com for about or even less.

The file has to be 3,000 x 3,000 pixels and 300 dpi.

This is how the design looks on a white shirt.

Before creating the campaign there is an extra step for you to prepare and it is to create a “Check-out” pixel in FaceBook if you are going to promote with FaceBook ads.

This will give you a code to use with Fabrily.

After you have registered an account with them click on the  “Start a Campaign” link.

The first step is to enter a title and a description for your campaign.

Then upload your Artwork, choose the kind of shirt in the menu, your main color and two additional colors.

It is time now to select the goal and duration for your campaign. The minimum goal is 10 shirts and the duration goes from 7 to 28 days.

I selected a goal of 20 T-shirts and a duration of 21 days.

Keep in mind that the goal has to be reached for the shirts to be printed and sold. The higher the goal, the cheaper the cost and higher the profit… but also the difficulty.

The next section is to select the price you want to sell the shirts and the currency (GBP, Euro or $USD). There is a very useful Pricing calculator to help you do this.

Fabrily will give you the minimum price, which will cover the cost of the shirt, printing and their fee. Then, you decide what your profit will be. It gives you the amount without the VAT and the amount with the VAT.

If a customer purchase a T-shirt from the UK or the European union the price with the tax will show, if the customer is from the USA or elsewhere the price without the tax will show. In any case your profit is the same.

In the comment box you may write some specific instruction for Fabrily and paste your FB conversion pixel.

After you click the “Start Campaign” button you will have to wait for Fabrily to review and launch your campaign.

In this example, I chose a profit of 5.50 Euro for 20 T-shirts. When the goal is reached the profit will be 110 Euro and the money sent by Fabrily to my PayPal account. If more shirts are sold the profit will be even greater.

I hope you will see this post as an idea for a nice income opportunity.

I will write more on the topic as the campaign is running.
