Hi There, Freedom Nation United As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today going through my morning pre-game ritual, as outlined in inn the post
Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower (Yes, I do consider every day to be a present in the game of life)
I had recently got off our Leaders Are Readers Conference Call and was so glad of the wisdom that had been shared with me just one week earlier – as we were preparing to study the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.
You see, having devoured the DVD numerous times at previous milestones along my journey, I was trying to decide whether “in the interests of time” I should “just watch the DVD”
I will be forever grateful for the advice I was given to READ THE BOOK, STUPID 🙂
You see, reading the book activated different parts of my brain than are activated by watching the movie. Have you ever experienced that when watching the movie versions of books you have read? Of course you have…
But that’s not all – when you read the book YOU, my friend, become the Director. YOU decide the order of the scenes. YOU decide the pieces to keep in and leave out. YOU choose the soundtrack to play as you read it. [BTW. I recommend binary tones in the background as you read]
Now the book finishes with the statement
“NOW THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SECRET, WHAT YOU DO WITH IT IS UP TO YOU. WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE IS RIGHT. THE POWER IS ALL YOURS”.
That thought led me to challenge myself. How do I add a dimension that will empower YOU – the readers of this blog – friends I have yet to meet – friends who have been with me for a season – others who have been with me for a lifetime!
