Real people, helping real people….

Hi There, Friends of Freedom:

As is my custom, I was sitting with my morning beverage today

going through my morning routine

Exercise – Envision – Read – Meditate – Pray – Empower

thinking about what messages I have received that would benefit

the communities of action that I am a part of

when…

I thought back to a speech I gave at the Siemens Toastmasters Club

as part of their International Speech Contest.

It’s opening referred to the fact that

Motivation is like a Chinese meal

We feel good afterwards for about 20 minutes

and then we are ready for another portion.

I believed, and still do, that it is irritation that gets things done…

that changes the World.

However, as a word of caution,

Irritation can also lead to debilitation

Be careful.

Irritation WILL lead to Debilitation – If you let it!

How many times do we allow ourselves to get irritated,

upset,

even angry

at what turn out to be trivial actions or even complete misunderstandings?

By choosing to let things bother us,

WE give them more life than they deserve.

WE must beware of turning something minor

into something that can suck positive energy out of us

and render us ineffective.

These CHOICES we make

can build barriers that prevent

more serious issues from ever going away

or being openly dealt with.

Even worse, these barriers

prevent new, postitive, alternatives

from being considered

and taking root!

We are taught in the world’s greatest book

by the world’s greatest teacher

by the greatest leaders that have ever been

of the power of forgiveness –

to forgive and forget.

Sometimes we just have to forgive ourselves our own imperfections

forgive our friends

forgive our colleagues

and, most of all,

forgive our enemies.

Forgive your enemy and you take away all his ammunition!

FREEDOM, STRENGTH and HONOR

To YOU
