Keep it Simple

The next rule for how to write online articles is to keep it simple. Most people online don’t want to have to work to read anything. So, make sure you keep everything nice and simple. Write with simple words and make sure you write about topics that can be easily understood by everyone.

Target Keywords

Obviously your articles have to do work for you. In other words, they need to make it so your sites and your information is found when related topics are searched for. This is why the 3rd of the 5 rules you need to follow is to target keywords. So, you want to think about what words you want your article to be associated with. These should be keywords that are searched for a lot. Then place these keywords in the title of the article and throughout the body of the article.

Write to Your Audience

When writing online articles you also want to make sure you write to your audience. Think about who you’re really targeting with your articles and then write directly to them. Often the best way to do this is to sketch out one ideal person you want to write for. Then pretend you’re writing directly to that person. This will ensure you’re writing to your audience and it will also make your writing very personal, which will make the article even more effective.

Provide Value

The last rule you need to follow when you write online articles is to provide value. You want to either entertain or educate your readers. If you don’t, then your article won’t be worth anything. In fact, instead of your article helping your online business it will actually hurt your online business. So make sure you always provide value. In order to write great online articles you should always write what you know, keep it simple, target keywords, write to your audience, and provide value.
