FORGET THE CAR….TAKE A WALK!!! Just kidding, but not about the walking part…..You’ve probably heard that walking is good for you, and it IS, but ill provide some more accurate information for you…..
Everyone walks….we’ve even heard in the past that this will help keep your weight down because its and effective cardiovascular exercise. It’s true. But its more than likely that’s been over shadowed by running, which is not bad either…..you just have to know the facts in the end…..
Walking is a great way to lose 20 pounds for many reasons, and knowing how to do it effectively will help you reach your goal weight in no time. Walking is enjoyable for most people, easy on your joints, and one of the safest forms of exercise while it also being essential for weight loss.
I usually go walking with my friend/workout partner Greg at night….because It seems more interesting to walk at night. It’s important to make your walks enjoyable because once you get bored of it, you’ll stop. So you can listen to music or read a book while you do it…make it fun.
Walking at least 45 minutes of walking on most days can burn AT LEAST 245 calories in each session. At a weight loss rate of 1 pound per week, it will likely take you at least 20 weeks to lose 20 pounds. Losing weight at this pace is safe and will help you keep the weight off long term.
….It’s good to also add some resistance or walk uphill to make it harder. Also, MAKE SURE TO LIFE WEIGHTS. This is crucial. Lifting weights keeps you regulated and for men, promotes testosterone. You can’t just focus on cardio all the time that’s not going to work. Lifting weights are also good for your weight loss. You’ll feel great about yourself, trust me. I do this everyday…..it makes my day better and it will makes yours good too.
….Also, when you walk you don’t use so much of your glucose (sugar) so you won’t get as tired as you would when you run. When I go on my walks I feel good and energetic..and I also walk barefoot sometimes (earthing) to keep my energy up. I’ve lost almost 9 pounds doing it, but I also weight train and fast (refer to my earlier blogs) I feel great! Make sure to do this people. WALK. EAT RIGHT. EXERCISE AND WEIGHT TRAIN. All this is going to make you feel good about yourself. You’ll notice and your energy levels increase, as well as your focus…..your metabolism will skyrocket. I wrote this today because it works for me and I know that it’ll to anyone that does it. But it’s up to you to start. That’s the hardest part is starting.
