Possibly one of the mostimportant figures in this time. Not a time that I see an iphone that EVERYONE has and I don’t think of him. Have you ever read the biography on this guy? Its awesome. In fact I saw the new movie that came out the other day about Steve which was played by Ashton Kutcher…..I thought it was good. But I’ve seen interviews from Steve Jobs, he was always real. Wasn’t afraid to yell at someone if they were wrong…. Steve was the “Father of the Digital Revolution.”
When I first heard about Steve I was younger, 17 I believe. It was when my dad got the iPhone, when they FIRST came out mind you. I believe I first heard his name when my brother mentioned it once….he mentioned also that he and Bill Gates were friends once. Since I was younger I thought that they grew up together and both made their companies together…which is half true. I started reading about him. Gotta be honest, it really psyched me out some of the things he said….because I wasn’t as enlightened as he was. To this day, one of my favorite quotes from him still hits me….”Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”
How awesome is that? That’s incredibly true. So many of us try to get approval by other people, when you’re the one that you have to focus on. He meant that you have to focus on yourself, your own personal development, and then with others. It takes massive courage to do what he did….of course with the help of Steve Wozniak, but he’s was the brains. The soul, the mind of Apple and our technology. With out him I doubt that we would even have cell phones….(maybe not that serious but still, I think so). I’ve always loved seeing videos of Steve unveiling and presenting his products. You could sense a true happiness when he did, or at least I did. He made his company Apple into possibly the biggest and probably one of the most profitable companies in the world. People loved his charisma, his energy, I loved it. He never stopped. Even when the board of his own company kicked HIM out of it. I can’t imagine the feeling. Creating something and someone taking it from you. That’d get me furious! Could you IMAGINE what felt? HOW he felt? But he kept on going and made NeXT, (another type of computer/software) and bought Pixar, (known at that time as The Graphics Group. He did good at it. Of course when they kicked Steve Jobs out Apple started falling, and started losing money and popularity.
….It’s funny because when Steve Jobs came back, he SKYROCKETED Apple. It took OFF. They made their computers the absolute best. They made the iPhones the best, and of course iPads. I remember when the first iPhone came out. It was a HUGE deal. My dad got one and I started playing with it. It was super cool.
Thats how Steve was. I still remember when I first found out that he passed away….my heart stopped a bit, I can’t even lie. I immediately thought, “Wow whats gonna happen now?” I respected him alot. I didn’t even know him, but he gave us technology, he GAVE US A LOT. People try to say that he was an a**hole or stuff like that……but it was only because he wanted everyone to feel and believe just WHAT he believed was possible. Leaders like that don’t come easy. I do miss him. Miss him talking, and unveiling the new stuff he made. But he did his job. He did what he could, which is why they call him the “Master of innovation…..
