UFC vs. Boxing…?

THERE HAS ALWAYS been this big argument with people comparing Boxing with MMA, or UFC. The thing is, Boxing and MMA are both impressive, and great sports, just like all sports and martial arts.
BOXING AND MMA.. people are always arguing about these two martial arts…and clearly the people who are fans of each are going to be one-sided on the topic, and they are just missing the point. Its like a war with 2 sides with different, unique differences that will never end.
THE BOTTOM LINE is that you simply just can’t compare these 2 sports, just like any other sport there is. A sport is it’s own sport, it has it’s own rules, it cannot be comparable.
FIRST OF ALL, Boxing. I’m currently in this sport, by the way, and I’m truly passionate about this sport. Although, I still like any other martial arts. In fact, I like ALL martial arts. Anyway, this sport is original, and classic, and its truly known for its limitations for just mastering the art of punching. That’s it. And for that reason, a boxer could NOT last in the octagon with an MMA fighter in UFC, simply because Boxing just focuses punching. Boxers wont last in the octagon ring cause think about it, if you spend all your time mastering on your punching how can you beat up an MMA fighter if they use punches, kicks, knees, elbows, AND ground skills. There are different rules, unless a boxer practices secretly, and just happens to have more skills than boxing.
HOWEVER, MMA, OR UFC fighters do have the advantage of using anything more than punching like boxing, same goes for MMA fighters, they could not last in a boxing ring simply because there are more limitations in boxing. A UFC fighter does have more skills other than punching…but we have to keep in mind that boxing is strictly just punching, and they master the art of punching. Not only that, but there are more rounds in boxing than in the UFC. There is no groundwork, grabbing, elbows,
anything involved but just punching. Clearly the UFC fighter will get his ass kicked in all those rounds against a boxer, that is an expert in punching. That’s it, there is no further argument about that.
THAT’S ALL IT people, boxing is boxing, and UFC is UFC. They’re their own sport, you can’t compare them whatsoever. Just like how you can’t compare Hockey with soccer, or basketball with football, or baseball with golf, it doesn’t matter. There are many different sports with different, unique rules out there, they are just not meant to be compared.
THE VIDEO ABOVE gets more in depth about the differences between the two sports. They are DIFFERENT sports, so let’s stop comparing them. Just like wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, Jui Jitsu and all the thousands of other forms of martial arts out there. Enjoy the video and give me some feedback,
Best wishes!
