Personal Efficiency Checklist and how to Optimize Your Results

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

If you want to excel in business you must have a strategy that works and also personal effectiveness plan to optimize your results.

Now when it comes to strategy that can be very complex subject matter, but personal effectiveness is a much simpler animal to tackle, yet few people are actually good at it.

I have found that  there a  few important  areas to focus on when it comes skyrocketing your results.

Personal Efficiency Checklist

1.Plan Your Day in Advance

When your getting started you don’t wanna just start working. You should take 15 minutes to carefully cycle through your tasks get them all down on paper, then decide  when you will do each task. Actually having a plan of action will reduce  the time in which your  To-Do list gets done.

2. Do the important tasks first.

Keep it Real Time , we all know there is not enough time in the day to get ALL of our To Do’s done. So its critical to your success to get those important tasks done first no matter how much you don’t feel like doing them.

3. Rush less important tasks.

People rarely  mention this technique of efficiency. But You can unlock huge amounts of time by rushing jobs that don’t matter much.

As Warren Buffett put it, “Whats’ not worth doing is not worth doing well.” When Buffet speaks I listen.

4. Work in Blocks.

You will get lots more work done if you work in uninterrupted blocks . The more  you can find a quiet place to work  the more efficient you can become.

5. Wait until after 11am to check your emails.

I usually skim my emails in while planning my day, just in case something truly urgent is there (no more than 5 minutes). Then I  don’t go back to my emails until mid morning or early afternoon.

6. Focus on a Key Job for the Day.

Pick  the task that is going to help your business the most. Get clear on this. If you do nothing more than complete your most important task daily, in 3 months your business would be producing powerful results. Yet most people never identify what their key daily task is.

7. Have a cut off time

Most people have a start time but they don’t have a cut off time to end their day. You will be amazed by how much more efficient you will become when there is a certain time that you must finish your work. It forces you to work more quickly. Plus when your workday is open ended there Is no real motivation to work fast.

If you can stick to this list daily you will find you will radically change how much you achieve. You’ll be able to work less and earn more. Your stress will go down and your confidence will go up.

So that’s your personal efficiency checklist. If you found value in this post please share your comments below
