1st thing you have to know is that every human is an eternal being. That means that you will be alive forever in one form or another.

While you are here on earth, you are alive inside this human body. Besides the body you also have a spirit and a soul.

When your body wears out you die of the earth right. And then, then you begin the rest of your eternal existance.

There’s pretty much 2 places that you will get to spend eternity in. Heaven or Hell.

The Bible describes that there is only 1 way to get your ticket to heaven. It doesn’t actually offer a ticket. That’s just how a lot of people jokingly say it.

Many people think that if they live a “good” life and don’t murder anyone, don’t cheat on their wife, and do lots of good deeds that they will go to heaven. And that my friend is just not true. There is much more required of you to get into the Golden Gates.

The Bible describes that you must be born again through Jesus Christ to receive the gift of salvation and live an eternal life in Heaven with God our Father. reference NIV Bible, John 3:3

So, one might think that making sure that you figure out how to get born again might be on the top of the list for most important things to do in your life.

Of course majority of people do not consider this to be very important because they do not believe this.

Most people are led by religious beliefs that do not teach about salvation or yet how to achieve salvation or the importance of salvation.

Here’s a little how to when it comes to being born again and achieving salvation:

1. To be born again you must pray directly to God and ask for His forgiveness of your sins and ask for Jesus to come into your heart and change your life and cleanse you. Ask Jesus to be your savior and tell Him you want to follow Him and obey all His teachings. If you were raised believing in religious rituals you may have been taught that you have to confess your sins to a priest or some other man in a church but this is not true. In fact the Bible tells us that we must go through no one to get to God. We are to go directly to God. God wants a relationship with you not a relationship with you through a priest or any other person.

2. There is no #2. Once you ask Jesus into your heart and into your life and you truely mean it and you truely want that then there is nothing else. You have accepted Christ into your life as your savior and that is what we call getting “born again”. Congratulations you have just been given a gift of salvation and eternal life from God.

Some people experience different things like after they ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior they might say they felt the power of God through the Holy Spirit enter their body and revive their spirit or awaken their spirit. Lots of things like this happen when you invite God the maker of all things into your life. You will most likely experience some pretty supernatural things. And oh, forgot to mention, if you tell a non believer about an experience like that they will probably think that you are crazy. But that’s ok because you are now going to heaven, you have no worries. You do not have to give 1 second of worry to what anybody thinks anymore.

Most people get baptized after they get born again. What I would suggest here is that you find a church that is not affiliated with any religion and make sure they are not practicing pagan traditions like christmas, easter, or valentines day or whatever other traditional holidays are on the calendar. And get baptized, it’s a wonderful thing and the Bible tells us to get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit.

Some people say they receive the Holy Spirit at baptism not actually when they got born again.
