How To

What Can You Do in 30 Days..?

Restored from the Empower Network archive (2011–2017), lightly edited to meet our current advertising standards. Views are the original author’s.

Goals are better reached when they are set to time limits. If you want to accomplish something, and you set it to “someday”, guess what will happen? NOTHING! Your mind does not understand “someday”. Rather, your mind understands it as “never“.

To have a cleat set goal is like having a detailed, accurate map. If you set out in a car not knowing where you are going, you will doing a lot of driving but you won’t get anywhere. Set your goals with a clear, detailed, step-by-step intent. Write them down! It is so important to take the time to write down, in detail, what you want to accomplish. Use every sense – how will you feel? Where will you be? Will it be sunny? Do you hear the laughter of your children or the sound of rain falling? Are you celebrating with champagne or just a good book?

Start with 30 days. If you think 30 days is too long, try seven days at first. Just set a time frame and stick to it. Visualize yourself at the end of 30 days, having already accomplished your goal. Seeing yourself at the end of this time period, successful, makes it even more clear for your mind. Think of yourself as an already-successful person… not as someone who’s success is “just around the corner” or “coming soon”. These are dangerous words! Your mind will always be chasing, and as it gets close, it stops, because you have trained your brain to NOT get that success.

Make success your passion. Don’t just simply chase money. Heck, yes, we’re all in it for the money to a certain degree, but really it’s about getting money to help you with living your passion. You can’t help others if you first don’t help yourself. How much more can you do for others when your needs, and the needs of your family are fully met?

Now, I’m not saying that it’s all going to be a bed of roses… You will probably have to swim upstream. You will have to raise that bar a little (or a lot!) higher. But in 30 days, you will feel the glowing warmth coming from the power within you, knowing that YOU did it. And that, my friends, is just the beginning!

In 30 days, I’ll be in Chicago at a network marketing event, enjoying my success (with champagne… and money).

To your success!
