What Inspired You To Be A Writer?

Ever wondered what made the big writers out there what inspired them to write? Well I am going to share a story about that and I am asking you the same question fellow writers so make sure you let me know by commenting below!

I don’t know why but the other day I just asked a fellow writer this question and honestly I think it was because I was just curious.

Everyone has their own reason for what inspired them to be a writer and I just find it very interesting.

So I was talking to Jackie Ivie which is a writer and she answered my question “What inspired you to be a writer?” that you just normally don’t get this type of answer. I just thought it was interesting that I wanted to share it with you.

She said that she became a writer when her husband dared her to write a better book then the one she was reading because she said that even she could write a better book. That’s how she started writing and now she has these cool vampire stories that she sells on amazon and other ways.

Her answer to me was just refreshing! What do you think?

If you don’t know who Jackie Ivie is to check out some of her books! I found a site that had collated answers of this specific question and again I thought I’d share it with you!

to actually see the list of collated answers!

What inspires you to write?

Ali McNamara I’m an only child, so I had plenty of time to day dream while I was growing up. I think this helped fuel my very over-active imagination. Now I’ve found an outlet for that I’m just putting it to good use!

Anne Brooke My own hang-ups. The desire to get something down on paper that I can feel in my gut. Dreams and fantasies. And, as I made my choice not to have children many years ago, the need to leave something behind when I’m dead also drives me.

Bill Spence The desire to see my work in print and my books on the shelves but I look on that as motivation. What inspires me to write in my case should be WHO inspires me to write? The answer to that – my wife and a very dear friend.

Cally Taylor Emotion, imagination and a need to create something.

Last but not least I thought I’d share with you why I write and what inspired me to write. Here’s the story and please let me know your thoughts with what I am sharing here with you by commenting below!

When I was a kid I just didn’t like reading that much and honestly I think the biggest reason was because I just didn’t find that book that really got me hooked. That was really attractive to me!

One day my aunt and uncle gave me a book called “A wrinkle in time” and ever since I’ve been hooked on writing and reading. The reason I write is because I can create anything come to life and put it on paper.

It’s just an amazing feeling and when I am writing I also seen it play in my head. Not only that but it’s a great way to get your message across to so many people.

So, what made you want to be a writer?
