How To Create An Outline That Will Put Your Book On Fire!
Yesterday I created a blog about the power of creating an outline but today I am going to go over on what you should do to create a outline for your book. to check out my blog about “The Power Of An Outline”!
First thing you need to do is to decide how you want to do the outline. What I mean by that is do you want to do it with a paper and a pen or on the computer?
I can’t answer this for you…everybody is different and for example I rather do it the old fashioned way sometimes though I do it on the computer but not always My best friend though she would rather do writing on her computer.
The thing I really want you to understand before I really start going into the details on how to create a outline is that you need to understand why it’s a good idea to even have a outline and that is why I you should go see my other blog from yesterday by clicking here .
The first thing you should do is do some brainstorming for your outline!
If your just starting to write your book you are going to have to ask yourself some questions like who is going to be the main character or where is this story going to take place.
There are different ways to create an outline but I am going to show you how I create an outline and I am also going to throw in a resource so you can see another way to outline because what I do might not be your way.
Some people can’t do outlines because it just kills their creativity! So just try it once and if you don’t like it try it differently…experiment a bit.
For me having an outline it doesn’t kill my creativity at all it actually helps me keeps things in order.
Alright so this is what I do when it comes to creating an outline! I get a piece of paper and put the Title of the book or story at the top of the paper.
I then depending on how many chapters you are going to have to create 1-40 for example and beside the number I put the title of the chapter and then I write a description of what that chapter is going to be about. Sometimes I write quite a bit so that if I forget something I’ll have it on paper.
For example:

This chapter is about the witch and how she took over the kingdom and becomes the queen.

Hope that clears up any confusion! That is just an example lol it just came to my head!
If your unsure of your book’s name or chapter name you can go back and change it. Sometimes I would take a look at a chapter title and see it just wasn’t that great so I would change it but I do want to give you a warning I wouldn’t do that too much because then you get in a habit of just changing things and that can be a big no no.
The only reason it would is if you keep changing it…if you do that your book will never get published. I know because well lol I did that and I don’t want you going through that.
