Don Quigley

Don Quigley keeps stopping to define the word he is using. He looks up what a concept actually is before arguing that most people accept theirs without ever examining them. He separates a challenge used as a noun from the identical word used as a verb. He gives a whole post to the difference between a customer and a client, which sounds pedantic until you notice how differently you would treat each one.

Forty five posts and almost none of them are tactics. The subjects are self esteem set against inherited paradigms, why change and challenge are not the same event, what value means to the person actually paying for it, persistence, imagination, and who decided who you are.

Two pieces on human resources for a small business come closest to practical, and even those concern how you treat people rather than what you file.

This suits somebody who suspects the bottleneck is their thinking rather than their methods. Read three or four in a row and see whether the distinctions hold up under your own life.
