There are plenty of things to see in Marrakech… and of them, be sure that you make a point to experience Djemaa el Fna specifically at night!!!
As you may know already, I have a strong love for Marrakech… Why? Not sure. I know it had a lot to do with the people that I met at the Riad that I stayed at, Dar Zaman. Not only the staff, but the guests as well… and lets just say that THANKS to Sabine & Marko (the wonderful Germans that I met on the roof top patio – – I was able to feel comfortable getting down to Djemaa el Fna at night, without the fear of getting lost.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things to see in Marrakech that are quite beautiful and not crazy at all, but when you’re meandering the streets of the medina by yourself, in an area that looks as if it was a movie set for Arabian nights… There is a fear that comes over you that I can’t explain… which is EXACTLY why Marrakech ended up on my list of places to go and why it garnered a special place in my heart for the rest of my life… as a matter of fact, I look forward to the day I can finally get back there with friends!!!
As you can see… I’m quite excited about sharing experience, hence I keep telling you that of all the things to see in Marrakech, Djemaa el Fna AT NIGHT must be on your list! (here’s quickie)
In regards to the video of me eating the snails directly from the shell… I some how deleted the video, but here’s a lovely shot of them prior to the eating. Please note that I did not eat the entire bowl… On the other hand, while sitting at at one of the many feasting areas, Sabina, Marko and I had the some amazing meats… chicken & lamb being two of them and i think beef, but who knows what else.

All & All, there is a lot of things to see in Marrakech and if you really want to get in and try it out for size – – I still say that you should get a guide and Peter at Dar Zaman knows who to hook you up with… As stated before, the reason this city stole my heart was because of that fantastic little Riad and the people that attracts.
THIS is exactly one of the many reasons that if chosen to start blogging as my new living – – who knew that you could make money doing this!! If you’re interested in how I do it, to see that you could actually do it yourself <<Click Here>>, fill in your email and watch the video!!
To be continued…
