Are you asking yourself what to blog about… especially every day? Daily… OMG! that can be overwhelming! Let’s break it down into small bite size I can dos!

Today, let’s zero in on how to blog by learning what to say!

How to Blog: What are you passionate about?

That is the best place to start.

I’m an artist working in glass. I also love gardening, the ocean and tropical stuff. With my art, I can write about new tools, new glass, new techniques, what others are creating, hot trends, hot colors, conferences and training going on, history of glass and on and on.

To get more ideas… google your niche and see what comes up. That should keep you busy coming up with fresh ideas on what & how to blog!

1. Blog journal…Write about what you are making at the moment. When I was creating my glass apple blossoms, I wrote about the mental & artistic process I went through to create them. Your blogs are wonderful notes to keep you exploring new territory in you craft or business.

2. What shows or places are you selling your work. Newbies have no idea how to approach galleries, venues, how to enter shows or steps to apply to competitions. Great blog posts.

3. Where do you get creative inspiration? Do you read instructional books, follow other bloggers, take training programs, watch You Tube videos? Share the videos! What’s your industry’s hottest trends?

4. Spiritual inspiration…What keeps you going? Do you get down? What do you do to perk yourself up? Inspiration quotes, book reviews and things you watch can be helpful to others.

5. Spend some time following other bloggers posts in you niche for new ideas. Be sure to leave comments often and even follow other bloggers to have wonderful ideas coming to you regularly! You also will develop friendships that can become a wonderful form of moral support.

6. A great way on how to blog is to do videos! If you don’t like to write, Talk! People love videos! Just talk instead of writing about things that will improve others lives, help them get the results they want. Just make the videos entertaining and interesting and under 1 to 4 minutes. The shorter the better… readers want instant everything!

How to Blog: Your Other Interests

My other interests are gardening and anything tropical. Now, what you should do is go back and examine how all your other interests and activities can be tied in with your main passion in life. For me, I make glass beads of what I am interested in, like glass flowers bead, ocean life and desserts (when I’m on a diet).

The important thing to do is be sure your blogs flow smoothly together and you are sharing valuable content! Don’t talk about negative subjects unless you have a brilliant solution to the problem. Your readers want to be uplifted, entertained (jokes are good) and want valuable information that will solve their problems!

Most of all, people want to get to know you! They want to relate to you so be yourself and let your personality shine through everything you write or say!

You will find that building you business is a personality growth process. Learning how to blog the right way will force you to facing your fears, doubts & teach you how to live by the ‘Golden Rule’!
