One of the primary goals a blogger should have is to retain their readers. If readers do return to your blog they had better find fresh content to inspire them or teach them or anything they hoped to gain from your posts. Opinions are varied on how often blogging should be done, yet this does not make any one right or wrong – that is the beauty of the industry. Blogging Tips Two: Optimise Posts for Specific keywords

When producing your daily fresh content be sure to target specific keywords. This tip flows directly from how search engines work. In the long run the majority of your readers will find you through search engines. They will have to type specific keywords to tell the search engine what they are looking for.

So, optimising your page for a particular keyword is letting the search engine know what your page or your post is all about by way of keywords. Here, you may want to use tools to determine what words are people typing in to search of content such as what your post is about. Google Adword keyword tool is one such tool. Its free to use.

Blogging Tips Three: Go Social.

Leverage the numerous social networking sites you have online. I think the principle is quite simple: if you need people to read your blog, show it to them, to do that you need to get to where they hangout. This is where social networking sites come in.

As I compose this post, facebook is top in traffic ranking according to Alexa.com. What does this mean? It means (to the uninitiated) everybody is in facebook. There are however lots of other fabulous social networking sites you can explore like twitter, linkedin and the like.

Blogging Tips Four: Pay a visit to Forums

Do not end at just visiting, be a member of forums. There are a couple of reasons why this should be so. First, in forums you get to meet others who have the same interests are you and you will have change to share Ideas.

Secondly, most of the people who are new in the industry go to forums to figure out the industry for themselve.  Those my friend are hot traffic for your blog. Do well to add the link to your signature line so you can always be found.
