Gratitude Log – Letting Go
I had a very productive day again. Tuesdays are the day that I do a Hangout On Air with my business partner Chika Nwoko. I guess I’ll have to say Chika is the head of my gratitude list this go around. He is the one who really got me started with this hangout we do and when you have a commitment to something in partnership with someone like this, well you are held accountable to do it.
We just had our 6th Hangout and it was very good. Chika and I are doing a series on the “Soap Opera Sequence.” This is some valuable training as I see many new marketers struggle with the concept of email marketing. Many want someone to hand them an “already done” sequence that they can just put in their auto responder and be done with it. But your email campaigns are some of the most important marketing you will do. It is the opportunity to reach out and touch someone with your story.
So, Chika, thank you for being a part of my “now story.” I am proud of the value we add to the marketplace and know that as we do this thing over and over and over again we will just get better and better, like a fine bottle of wine.
I’m thankful I have gotten over the addiction to having to have something be perfect before I do it. I would never get started otherwise. A year from now, even though all the content I am producing right now will still be out there, the value I will be adding to the marketplace at that time will far outshine what I am doing now.
I remember once when Jonathan Budd shared some of his old videos from when he was starting out. WOW! I guess that was the beginning of when I started to realize that even the “PROS” start out as beginners. Like they say, there is no such thing as an overnight success.
I am very thankful for the many other friends I have made in this business. Lydia Manthei, Diane Ingalls Reid, Karen Ellis, Ken Vazanko, Rob Scott, Kat Cooley…I mean the list goes on and on. I have never met up with a better group of people than in the network marketing business. And I guess if the saying is true that like attracts like, well that makes me feel exceptional.
I am thankful for my desire to better myself. I push to grow and look to my own character to find the answers for my breakthroughs. Keeping your thoughts safe would be difficult if I didn’t have this community constantly uplifting and encouraging and setting the example.
I am busy again writing out my desires, filling in the blanks of emotion, seeing the outcome and not the worry of the how. For those of you who think doing this exercise once is enough, think again.
Time to close this, but not before I say thank you to all the leaders out there that shine for us. The path before us is well lit and though the way may seem hard at times, it’s really just the letting go that is hard.
Let go and fall forward into life.
