Article Marketing is one of the simplest forms of free advertising. Writing a short article on a helpful topic is a great way to drive traffic to your website. If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to get more leads then keep reading. Article marketing is not hard to do but most people get it wrong. Let me give you a few ideas that seem to work well for me, my Article Marketing Secrets.
First Article Marketing Secret… How To Write A Proper Article
Start by using the proper font or text. A recent survey has shown that your title should be “Tahoma 20” and the most popular color is RED. The font and size of the body of your article should be “Arial 12”. The title of your article needs to draw the reader in so be sure to use content that compels them to read farther. There is a website you can go to that will tell you if you have a compelling headline called AMI Institute then headlines.
Article Marketing Secret #2…What Should Your Article Be About?
Find a problem common to a lot of internet marketers and write about how you have the solution. Begin by doing the proper research for your article by going to Google and see what information people are searching for. I like to go to “forums” because you can see what questions are being asked. This is one of the best sources for Article Marketing Secrets. For instance type in “network marketing forums” to see what people are asking. When you write your article keep the content between 450 and 700 words. Any more than that and you’ll lose your readers attention.
What Are Keywords in Article Marketing
Keywords are where you begin your article. You find what people are searching for then go to “Google adwords keyword” to see how often the keyword is being searched. This is a great tool and I could write a book on how to use this research tool. Type in a keyword and it will tell you how many times a month people look for this word or phrase. Find a word that doesn’t have a lot of competition then you’ll have a chance to rate higher for it. Your goal on Keyword research is to find a word or phrase that will get you higher on the search engines and ultimately on page one of Google. How’s that for an Article Marketing Secret?
Use your keyword in your title and again several times in the body of your article. Don’t over due it though; the optimal number is 2-5%. I use it in the title, again in the first paragraph and a couple of more times a few paragraphs down. This is known as “on page SEO”. Again, I could write a book on that but we won’t go into detail here. This is our Article Marketing Secret for now. Don’t put any links in your article because some websites will refuse to publish your article if you have a link in the body of the article. You can however put it in the Resource section. Once you’ve written your article your last paragraph will be the resource box or author description.

The last paragraph you’re going to write is sort of a call to action. You’ve identified the problem they have and offered a credible solution. Now you need to guide them to where they can fix their problem. This is the place where you can add a link to where they get help. I always give them something for free such as a webinar recording or an ebook I’ve written.
